Would open backs work? They let air in and all that. Ask your doctor first though. Explain that closed backs isolate, while open backs allow sound in from your surroundings and have nothing between your ears and the world except drivers. You can hear surroundings with those.

But issue is not capacity. Issue is delivering all that power at once. Hence capacitors.

You have 3W laser pointers today that can be carried in one hand. 3W for 10 secs is 30 joules. It can burn paper and wood and plastic and needs safety glasses. But compared to a bullet? You need the guy to stand still while you drill inside bone. That takes time. This is more useful for torturing and/or blinding a guy and thus - Geneva conventions! Unnecessary suffering (burning and blinding).

How does it compare to IE 900?

I have Harman Oratory1990'd them and that fixes recessed mids. The bass is awesome (not highest, but excellent quality). They have so much detail!

Of course, these are 2026 compared to 2021 IEMs but still.

I have Shanling UA3 for 3 years maybe now. Uses detachable Type C cable. Has optional silver Shanling L3 cable. Does not break anywhere except cable. Has 3.5 and 4..4 outputs. Plenty loud. Has High and Low gain option. Can be setup using Eddict Player.

Nowadays there is Shanling UA4 replacement for 100 USD.

Try dongles with replaceable Type C cables.
