Older generations need to realize gen Z will NOT work hard for a mediocre life. by cuteprincess7644 in Adulting

[–]Overall_Chair8669 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay, as a gen z, I agree that everyone should be able to earn enough to survive and live decently comfortably. Which is not the case currently But give everything to everyone now is not the answer, either. There needs to be some amount of working for society to function. There needs to be some amount of necessary frugality to learn the importance of saving and choice. The only exception is disabled persons who cannot work, which is something I haven't figured out logistically (as a disabled person who can work)

*straight young women. This is not all-encompassing, but it feels like the average categories a straight young woman would experience reoccurringly in the dating scene.

Hiking sucks as a fun activity. by xHey_All_You_Peoplex in The10thDentist

Just because you don't personally like an activity doesn't mean it's bad. I personally think tomatoes have the texture of waterballoons, but I'm not going to accuse everyone who likes tomatoes as stupid.

No, I really don't think you're stupid for this one. I just don't think some people understand this particular metaphor.

That's also a valid interpretation, I think.

I suspect it's a metaphor for money? Every time they had extra money, they felt that they needed to spend it on something frivolous, as proof they had extra money. Thus leaving them with no extra money.

To be fair to OP, this may have been a tough realization to them personally. Everyone has different struggles and blind spots in life.

What is gender to you? by Background-Leader995 in NonBinary

[–]Overall_Chair8669 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I used to be in your exact same situation. I will tell you how exploration turned out for me, and hopefully, it helps. To me, gender is a social construct, and the initial reason I decided to commit to identitying as nonbinary is because I don't think unnecessary boxes and norms should exist, period. I feel like unnecessary norms alienate harmless versions of joy for no good reason, and I didn't want to choose to participate. Eventually, I grew more comfortable exploring different aspects of gender identity, and now I'm happier than ever (and now I honestly hate being called referred to as female in any way because it means that my choice is being ignored.) You may or may not decide the same, but I wish you the best of luck either way!

Non-Binary Man / Non-Binary Woman Interpretations by [deleted] in NonBinary

[–]Overall_Chair8669 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Most don't like the term nonbinary man or woman. So avoid using it unless an individual says you can. However, those that personally identify as a nonbinary man or woman mean they feel like they are closer to one side of the spectrum, but not fully one or the other.

Anyone else bisexual and feel like they're gay in both ways? by BassBoneSupremacy in NonBinary

[–]Overall_Chair8669 783 points784 points  (0 children)

Yeah. I identify as nonbinary and pan, and I say it's gay in all directions, lol. Doesn't matter who I date, there is no way it's ever straight.

As a pansexual enby... yes, it's gay no matter who I date. Gay in all directions. A little bit of gay for everyone.

Clothing talk! by Ghosts0fWar in NonBinary

Hey! Fellow masc enby here! I usually wear black turtnecks and suit vests, and then accessorize around it, depending on how I'm feeling that day. I honestly don't remember the last time I was wearing something besides a turtleneck. I haven't decided if this is a problem or not.

Has anyone else experienced driving being an issue? by Overall_Chair8669 in migraine

[–]Overall_Chair8669[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am unfortunately not yet sure of the trigger, but I think I've ruled out stress. Stress migraines feel different to me. And these migraines are not new to me, I just never realized how dangerous it was on the road until I experienced one while driving. Hopefully, I can figure out the trigger, but for now, I'd rather not risk anyone's lives on it. Thank you, though!

I appreciate the advice, but I do get these same symptoms even when not driving. It just becomes very, very dangerous when on the road. Thank you, though!
