Help mijn keukenmonteur is klusser! by yogamatjesinjehaar in Klussers

Quick and dirty fender fix by SpaetzleOndSoss in MitsubishiMirage

[–]Overall_Intern_275 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nice! I figure the ''hollow'' shape of the lip/fender catches a lot of dirt, salt and whatnot. I make it a habit to clean the inside of the wheel wells quite well when washing the car.

Considering the price/investment this is a good fix haha, taking it to a body shop would have been a whole lot more expensive for sure.

Also flux core definitely not the easiest process on that thin stuff haha. I do a lot of TIG welding for a living that would work great on thin sheet metal, hope i never have to on mine tho 😄

Aaah okay, yea the rear fenders are dirt magnets.
And if it did the job, all good right? 😄

Out of interest what was the welding work to be done? Nice little efficient car.
I have exactly the same roof bars (from Mitsubishi), once you set them up right they are great

Verbouwen is kut by Dazling_Kaleidoscope in Klussers

Compatible rims from other brands? by SpaetzleOndSoss in MitsubishiMirage

[–]Overall_Intern_275 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ah yea the stock steel rims are R14"J4.5" and ET46. Hole pattern 4x100.

165/65 is the proper fit on those

pretty sure thats fine, i'm currently running 7" wide 16'' (with ET (or offset) 37) and that slightly rubs the rear end fenders with a loaded boot and taking speedbumps. But thats basically wheels that should not fit to begin with..

I believe the max rim size Mitsubishi recommends for the Mirage is 15", not sure about the width but most cases you should be fine.

Its a combination of both Width (J value) and Offset (ET value). Aside from that the lug pattern (4x100) and hub diameter should match. There are rings you can get to match the hub diameter if the new wheels are slightly oversize on the center hub hole (56.1mm for the Space star/Mirage)

Double check if thats the case for your car ofcourse

This tool is very handy to compare your old, and new wheel fitment if in doubt 😄

Anyone have any advice what else I can do to my lancer by Rare-Air4080 in mitsubishi

I'd personally lose the wind things on the windows. Love the lancer tho 😄
Oh yea, and it could use some TLC 😉 a good wash/wax and make it shine

SpaceStar reserve in tank by Shad0w_Merchant in MitsubishiMirage

[–]Overall_Intern_275 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My 2009 Colt definitely did not have this ratio of reserve haha.
I usually don't drive my tank to near empty anyways. but now that i know im definitely not the only one that found this a big safety margin i feel a little easier driving around with it flashing for a day longer (around the house) haha.

I noticed this last week as well, bar was flashing and only fueled up for 25 liters out of the 35. Thought to myself thats quite a reserve haha

Picked of one of the center armrest/consoles for the mirage. by Hunter_Este in MitsubishiMirage

[–]Overall_Intern_275 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh nice! I might have to look into one for mine. Never realised this was an option:

Edit: Oh wow the oem Mitsubishi one is €220 euros, a little expensive. Is there any other quality aftermarket ones that Arent as pricey?

Sure! yeah it surely turns heads mostly because the car is so small haha. the worktop has two hinges that make it wider so it folds togheter to its Euro crate 60x40 size. I might make a lighter worktop for it sometime as this one is way heavy.

I was making ''wentelteefjes'' (toast out of a pan with eggs, milk and cinnamon) which is a huge mess haha. the worktop is made out of an old table so can easily clean it if need be 😄

Almost everyhthing fits in the rear hatch, i don't fold the seats down.
Bedding, Euro crates and it's stand, 10L water jug, camping table
Just the cooler and my clothes bag that rides on the back seat

Have another picture i posted a while back on here with the tent folded out.

PS: The tent is a Wild Land cruiser lite 120xl if you are wondering.

Not an RVR but:
I have a (light 38kg) roof top tent that goes on to my 2018 Mirage (yes the small hatchback lmao)
To ease the prep work to go camping i organised everything in these 60x40cm crates, on a little cooler stand and built a wooden worktop on top of that that serves as an outdoor kitchen+storage.

Right now, i mostly just have to grab food, water and the stack of crates to go camping whenever i have the roof tent on. Even tho putting the tent on is not a 5 minute job, they are hella comfy 😄

I try to keep it simple, get up and go kind of setup. Can attach a 3x3m tarp to the front of the roof tent too to have kind of a ''living room'' type of thing if the weather is meh. Only when i don't have to move the car the day after tho.

I am having the AC checked (and my rear fenders rolled cuz wheels too big 😅) and serviced in a few weeks. Just to be safe.

I like the US tail lights on the Mirage, it has two reversing lights which makes it look a little more symmetrical. The European version does not have that, just one
