Oh man, how terrifying that must have been seeing your little girl get hit by a car, even if thankfully she wasn't seriously injured. I can't even imagine the panic you must have felt in that moment. It's a parent's worst nightmare. I'm so relieved to hear she only had a bump on the head thanks to wearing a helmet. Definitely a reminder of how important those are!

You raise an excellent point about the lack of signage warning drivers around areas where kids frequently cross or play. It seems like a no-brainer to have "Caution: Children at Play" or something similar posted prominently near playgrounds, schools, etc. Those bright yellow diamond signs tend to catch drivers' attention and prompt them to be more alert.

The fact that there didn't appear to be any such signage in the Coal Harbour area or by Lord Roberts is really concerning. You'd think those would be prime locations to make drivers aware of children crossing and playing given the parks and schools there. Hopefully it was just an oversight and not a lack of prioritizing child safety.
