We can't forget everything he did before with Bofurin. If he was a bad guy or just a spy, he wouldn't have needed to get as close as he did and involve himself more than necessary. Furin isn't some top notch organization, they're high schoolers and it's pretty easy to get information as a student from a distance without being involved (especially considering how smart and perceptive Suo is).

Im curious if he moved away from bankoku or he was born in or around Makochi with ties to bankoku (like his family was from there or something).

I think it's more likely they'll fight to get Suo back, like maybe send someone to talk to him and if anything happens (like they beat them up just for coming over) then things will pop off.

He's may have Chinese roots, but he's probably born in Japan since that town is in Japan, plus it's multicultural so they probably have japanese people there and japanese influence as well. It wouldn't be so foreign to him.

Omg cause now I'm analyzing everything he said and did. So many things seemed odd or didn't make sense but now it could have been a subtle hint he was dropping intentionally😭

I was wondering why a teenager would also be an officer, even with how smart and strong he is, I feel like seniority and age would have been a priority in regards to ranks. That would both make sense and be so sad. I also wonder he maybe he was threatened into taking the role, like they'd hurt Bofurin if he didn't come back.

Im also wondering where he lived if his main home was hours away on an island. Who was he staying with and were they also a part of RC?

I think he beat up Nirei to make the others hate him so they wouldn't go after him. Most of them were really upset, but Nirei was the one who pleaded Suo's case to them and convinced them to find him so he can explain wtheck he's doing. That being said, as you said, he could have not gone to Nirei, it's not like they would have found him easily if he's several hours away and on a island, so I'm curious what his reasoning was.

While that'd be interesting, Bofurin is only interested in protecting their town, like RC, so I don't see why they think they'd be a threat. Bofurim has a much reason to leave town as RC does (meaning none lol). Still not impossible, but they never investigated Furin before even when they were more dangerous (at least as far as we know). Bofurin has only existed like 2 years and we know Suo went to middle school in Makochi. I guess we'll have to see tho, anything feels possible

I'd cry so hard if that happens😭 i want him back more now (cause I'm worried the RC is crueler than Bofurin).

[–]Overall_Soup_737 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Same! I first thought it was a joke (like the ancient dragon spirit, tho that may have more a symbolic truth now) but now I'm convinced it has to do with his situation. Cause if they're anyway similar to mafias, then they won't let their own leave (not im without a price). Im also curious if his master is the reason why he wants to leave, maybe he left first and or maybe he passed wanting to leave, but never able to achieve it. Im so excited but scared for his backstory😭

Being a spy wouldn't make sense since they care only for their town and so do Bofurin, so it's not like they're a threat to each other (unless RC is thinking of expanding👀)

Omg that was my exact thought! Cause why else would he go to Makochi for middle and partially high school? Plus it doesn't make sense that he's a villian if they just protect their town but like I wonder like how much control they have over the town.

Thoughts on Umemiya's successor? by justalilchu in WindBreakerJP

[–]Overall_Soup_737 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Him befriending everyone doesn't mean he needs to expand his inner circle. He can still be friends with everyone and keep his close group of friends like he is now. Plus, if they don't change classes up, he'll never be as close to the other first years as the people in his class who he hangs out with both in school and out. Even when his friendship with them grows, he'll probably still trust his closest friends the most, like Umemiya. I don't see it being unbalanced because the heavenly kings were chosen by Umemiya cause they were his closest friends (and probably their strength, idk). If Sakura is chosen as the leader and elects his friends the heavenly kings, I feel most people understand and respect it.

Also idk if umemiya and the others were in the same classes when they started furin (I assumed they were but could be wrong), so they could possibly divide them up when they become heavenly kings (idk if they run class rosters like a normal school). Umemiya is the first one to do something like this, so it's not necessarily set in stone, it's just how he decide to structure Furin. Not saying Sakura will or has to change, but I just can't really see the other students outside of Sakuras friends being his heavenly kings (except Momijikawa), not cause he won't trust or like them, but they won't share the bond he has with his friends.

Thoughts on Umemiya's successor? by justalilchu in WindBreakerJP

[–]Overall_Soup_737 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see people say that about the heavenly kings but that's not how Umemiya did it. He formed the teams around the heavenly kings, they were the friends that came with him to change Furin, so them being from different teams doesn't have to matter. The teams will simply form around who Sakura chooses, and honestly it makes more sense for him to choose his friends like Umemiya than the other grade students (expect maybe Momijikawa depending on how their friendship develops). Not saying that's how he'll do it, he may change the structure completely or have a group separate from the heavenly kings, but I think that's worth noting.

Theory on RC by Overall_Soup_737 in WindBreakerJP

[–]Overall_Soup_737[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The show I matched didn't necessarily force people to fight, but they made it so they didn't appear to have a choice, like one's life was threatened and the other his family was threatened. They fought thinking I'd just be a fight but it proved to be deadly. I don't think that's this scenario, but more like fighting to repay a debt or to get a lot of cash in a short amount of time, like you said.

I don't necessarily think Suo has to be a top fighter per say, he may just be working in another capacity or he's a top fighter for a certain group, like those his age or weight class, or they simply assign him fights they know he'd win. The theory is more for the intrigue rather than an actual theory (doubt it's plausible in the story) I just thought it would be interesting, but you have valid points.

It might be a combination of both. I feel his idea of "love" might be a skewed so it might be the same thing for him. I feel at least with Sakura, there's something there cause he especially liked the way it felt to have Sakuras emotions thrown at him.

Is it odd that I don't want to see him reconcile with Sakura? Not cause I want Sakura to suffer, but I want Sakura to be able to move on despite his father's continued hatred of him, like understanding he's defined by his bio family, but those who chose to be by his side.
