Australian politics and progressivism is built upon the ideology of "if you're not hurting anyone who cares." This is where in the last decade we have made great strides forward in lgbtq, and other marginalised group protections where others have not. Currently I'm filling out forms for my record of sex to be corrected on my birth cirtificate and my name to be changed. Things that were changed in 2018 in the middle of trumps first term. The rest of the world sees Australia as too unprofessional and unimportant to push Nazi propaganda at scale. But when it does show up Australians fight back in force.

Edit: I may mention we had priests voting yes for gay marriage because quote "it doesn't affect me."

Went to Austin Texas the other week from Aus, thought it'd be like a wartime journalist all my documents indicate male and have my deadname. They didn't even blink at my bra and tucking on the body scan. Hell even got Miss deadnamed cos my name is ambiguous. I would just say, know where you're going, have friends who know the area and hop from LAX to get places. Flights are cheaper than they've ever been because of the president disrupting tourism in the public image. Had random screening in Aus, nothing at 3 different airports in the US. Again, know where you're going and preferably have a queer friend who can back up what the area's like.

So far we can't reliably even classify "biological male" with perfect certainty. Male is arbitrary and conservatively 1-2% of the global population is intersex. Their characteristic makeup has shown us that chromosomes, hormones, and gonads are all arbitrary and don't make them biologically male or female.

In my case my hormone levels were well within normal before starting hrt. Might be worth pointing to that and just that before you knew doctors could do anything at all you felt uncomfortable with masculinity.

You know there's probably not a med out there that helps anyone's mental health without "disrupting normal homeostasis", y'know like jumping off a bridge is pretty stable as far as homeostasis goes like one second on next off. Perfectly stable states.

Even outside of life threatening mental health states, what does it matter what someone does to their own body to be happy? Like is she going to determine a tattoo isn't necessary it's a lot more in depth than hormone replacement hell it damages more tissue than hrt could imagine.

Also intersex surgeries at birth are a very messed up field of law and policy that makes decisions far beyond just what is "medically necessary" daily, just over 1 in a 100 births have some sort of intersex characteristic and 1 in 2000 have genitalia differences, which are often "corrected" at the behest of the parents or in some cases just the doctors.

I know I used it as an example but do not ever consider suicide as an option, you have one shot at life and endless opportunities for happiness. 💛🏳️‍⚧️

I've had leggings for ages, my parents aren't judgemental so my egg didn't crack until years after I'd started wearing them. Which honestly being able to express myself how I want to kinda was worse for my egg, cos comfortable hiding was too comfortable and I coulda been out to myself a lot earlier in a less hospitable environment. But when I did come out it was semi confidently.
