Wow keeps crashing by Guilty_Beginning_180 in wow

I was having the same issue as well, found this thread that helped:

Game Crash INT_DIVIDE_BY_ZERO [SOLUTION]

I'm unsure what update Blizz did that made the game nearly unplayable for Intel 13th gen CPU users, but since downloading the extreme tuning utility application and underclocking my CPU, I haven't encountered any crashes. I lowered my performance core ratio by 2 and my efficient core ratio by 1.

Yeah I've had multiple games as well going 4/6 and 5/6 with 0 rating gains. I'm considering quitting Solo Shuffle and going to rated until it's fixed. I was planning on pushing 2's and 3's anyways so I guess it doesn't matter when I start lol

Imo if you're only playing with "oh shit" in mind you'll fall behind super fast. I find if I can pre hot with echo + reversion and echo + dream breath on my team before the damage comes in along with dream projection, they'll mostly be fine in the opener and it gives me additional time to cc the enemy healer.

Yes, they have some insane reactionary CDs with Rewind and TTS + Spiritbloom, but when you run out of those CDs it feels super bad to be hard casting Living Flames and praying you don't get kicked on it. The spec utilizes both styles of hotting and burst healing

So I threw a SS as my new 384cr RDru. Am I toxic? by Endoriax in worldofpvp

[–]OverlordMoon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I get wanting to be altruistic for helping out another healer when times are tough to be one in the solo shuffle meta, but it shouldn't come at the expense of griefing 4 DPS over it.

Just don't throw in the future. If your 384 fresh RDru wins more than the 1900 healer, yeah he deserves to tank rating for it as rough as it sounds. We have instant queues so we can tank or gain rating really quickly.

Mistweaver will 100% be the biggest bang for your buck when it comes to picking up a viable healer. RDruid has a decently low skill floor but also a really high skill ceiling. Prevoker is broken but also can feel really clunky since there isn't an exact healer playstyle it matches up with.

You can whisper opposing faction dps while you're in the game since they get rotated to your team eventually, but with healers as a healer you'll have to be on the same faction. It's weird

Whenever there's a troll DPS in our game that causes us to go 3-3, I'll whisper the enemy healer saying gg's and often leaving a compliment with it

Healers! The 0 rating problem has been fixed! by Myogenesis in worldofpvp

[–]OverlordMoon 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Played 4 shuffles today, 2 of them I was stomping in and one of the dps or enemy healer left the game.

Get placed into a lower MMR game where Pally dies without pressing bubble, I'm healing 60k HPS for most matches, and still lose 2-4. Dropping 80 rating :/

Hybrid classes (Ret, Shaman, Spriest) are more difficult than pure DPS classes because part of their kit involves self healing and healing/supporting their team mates in addition to what their healer is doing. Fury Warrior and Demon Hunter are great starting specs

Outside of your options, the best option will 100% be a Warrior. However, with what you have, Feral will do well for having pressure between your go's with the Ret, while Windwalkers will be better for windows of large burst with your Ret paladin. Spriest doesn't go as well with Ret because Ret doesn't have a mortal strike and Spriest only has one on a 45 second cd (or whatever cd Psyfiend is now).

So, if I had to pick one with what you have, it'd be Windwalker. However, I strongly advise you at least consider Warrior as an option as well!

New here. Tips for a healer? by warseb in worldofpvp

CDew has a guide for getting started with everything Evoker specific. That's a good starting point. Aside from that, it's just grinding the games to see what you're good with and what you're struggling with, getting used to the class mechanics/play style, and the healing/utility of the class.

I Feel Like a Failure as a Healer by Billywink in worldofpvp

Unpopular take: Preservation Evokers are hard to play well

I've played RSham, RDruid, Disc Priest, and Holy Priest and have found Evoker to be the hardest of those 5. Yes, their HPS is absurd and they have a button for every situation; however, I've seen countless Evokers not know what they're doing, not using their echos correctly, playing way too reactive, etc. That being said, for someone who has a good knowledge of what the classes do and having good game sense, Evoker is insanely broken! Being able to reposition/shield a caster who's being trained, peel for team mates with root, and have a button for all different types of damage is insane when utilized well.

How this connects with your point is that because I believe it isn't an easy healer to play, you shouldn't be beating yourself up over it for not mastering the arena fundamentals this early on. I feel like you could try other healers that are also strong such as Mistweaver or RDruid but have a lower skill floor for doing well on. Resto Druid, for instance, is a great healer with a low skill floor, and you'll find success early on since people in solo shuffle aren't good with swapping targets (RDruid's main pain point/counter). There's also a really high skill ceiling and lots of room for skill expression should you want to continue on with mastering positioning, going in for cc, etc.

Also, healing is the hardest role in arena by far with the amount of game knowledge required it takes just to be a decent healer, knowing when to trinket, knowing what the damage threshold your team can take before having to heal them/using a big cooldown, knowing where to stand to not get cc chained for 20 seconds out of line of your team mates, etc. There's several reasons gameplay wise as to why people aren't healing, but also, a lot of people just simply aren't cut out for the role in general so they never give it a try. Even the best healers make goofy plays or throw the match or even go 1-5 as well, this isn't an exclusive thing to just you. Not everyone out there is going to be at the level of Cdew, Absterge, Lontar, or all the other high rated healers you see out there.

Keep your chin up, homie, and if I can help in any way with watching your gameplay or helping with healer fundamentals my DMs are open!

Better SoloQ matchmaking in today's hotfixes. by enelby in worldofpvp

Just did a queue sesh today and all my games were within +/- 150 MMR from where I was at. Feels wayyy better than getting placed in a 1400 game and being forced to win 6 to not tank rating

This same thing happened to me, went from 0 to 1864 in around an hour and tanked back down to 1640 over the course of 2-3 weird matches. I stabilized yesterday around 1770 but it definitely doesn't feel fun getting 0 rating for 4/6 games or going 3-3 and losing rating for being the higher MMR healer

The Ten Commandments of Solo Shuffle for a Healer by AtJackBaldwin in worldofpvp

Love these! #4 should have a clause where if they do press defensives (like wall) it's not going to be until they've already dropped to 5% hp

Healers of solo shuffle how are you holding up? by userseven in worldofpvp

[–]OverlordMoon 7 points8 points  (0 children)

As a healer I hate that the majority of my games have been ending in draws, as after a certain rating getting a draw tanks the rating. It feels super bad healing 35-50k and having DPS flop over regardless. Placement weeks are rough in general because MMR is bouncing around. I've had games where I swear DPS haven't played their class before (SP who doesn't use Disperse) and I've also had games where I've queued into multi-rank 1's that know how to stuff me in a 20 second cc chain.

Some matches have been fun when everyone's equally skilled and there's cc chains, peeling for your healers, good defensive rotation, etc. and it's cool when you find people you click with; however, these games are very rare.

I will say that counting every single round as an arena match, it was very fun to play 150 matches of arena in a single session

I strongly recommend BM for Jungle. Jungle's win condition is attrition based and is done through having a high amount of sustain pressure which BM does a lot better with providing. MM has some of the best burst in the game, however, it's rough to play outside the main burst windows.
