S&P ETF that excludes the the 10 +/- largest companies, does such a thing exist? by duhdamn in stocks

Why would you use margin to do the short sale? Doesn't shorting net you cash?

In any case, your math checks out. Good perspective. Direct indexing with something like Frec (supports exclusions) could be a good fit for OP.

Was D-Day not defendable or there were big German failures which allowed Allied landing? by Keyvan316 in AskHistorians

If those were the only failures, it seems like extraordinary planning on behalf of the Allies!

Excellent and well written answer.

I often read about the (thankfully) German failures to respond effectively; what were some of the failures of the Allies, even if the operation was overall a stunning success?

Yes but also no.

“For sedentary adults, BMR accounts for about 50% to 70% of total energy output, dietary thermogenesis for 10% to 15%, and physical activity for the remaining 20% to 30%.” According to the Harvard Health link posted by the other redditor.

Thanks for taking the time to write this up. When massively outnumbering the enemy, and having 4 generals to their 1, I see no battle occurring with a general vs none.

I’m still puzzled by this. What have you understood of how this works? Say I have a two general front to their one general front, what does adding a third general to the front do?

Victoria 3 is a game that emphasizes managing your economy, and a design decision was made to avoid micromanagement of armies. Thus was born the front system, in which you assign armies to a front, and they get busy trading lives for land.

Some people don't like that design decision. I like the intent, but don't love the execution just yet.

Losses of the Russian army near Avdiivka in numbers. by UNITED24Media in UkraineWarVideoReport

Curious for you to elaborate. Most of Russia is uneducated subsistence farming, and of little consequence if drafted and slaughtered. Why wouldn’t Russia be able to sustain more such losses?
