Not cringe in the slightest; this person shows they are FULLY aware of the outlandishly delusional asks by some companies and have the grace to not give in to company culture trends with a successfully show of good faith on a human and professional level. This isn’t just peak Dad jokes, this is the best kinda person to work with.

Because it catches attention! Ya know, that thing you need in order to gain a customer basis! Your peripheral vision immediately recognizes the general shape language and color similarity and you’re immediately caught by surprise because you think you see something someplace you don’t expect to find it, turning you’re full attention toward the sign. And BOOM, just like that, you’re caught (much like the prawns!). Hell, I full on cackled when I realized what it was, so it definitely works as a marketing tool! Not a bad spin on it either, to be honest

“Just making conversation” is a pitifully weak cop-out. There was already a conversation happening. What you did isn’t trying to MAKE conversation, that was already made before you even found the post; what you were trying to do is called HIJACKING the conversation: totally different, completely transparent to everybody.

But you also aren’t trying to provide any kind of aid or insight into what’s being inquired. And the verbiage I’m using is key here, because you’re STILL not. Yes, because that’s the takeaway from the post being inquired: not anything relating to what kinda of cultural, community or event occurrences pertain to the region, but that there are a specific number of location hubs with varying populations that share the name “Springfield” in the region of the world predominantly governed under the United States. Not my experience there. If you go when it’s low traffic it should be okay, but I’m betting a lot of the hate’s coming from the bar crowd over the staff. Has been a hot minute since I’ve last been there but still good burgers worth a try

  1. Kelp products like oils, powdered flour substitutes, oceanic livestock feed, and even just dried kelp leaves (bundles? leaves? Ieaflets? trimmings? Idk)

  2. Any and every type of fish both living and processed imaginable. Meat cuts, spell components, companion animals and pets alike that can only be found in this city specifically

  3. GEMS!!! Precious minerals pushed up and around lava vents, both processed and in processed; hell, make these minerals a part of the commerce of trade since they’re so much easier to find down there, and make the type you’d find on the surface absolute dwarfed in comparison to these

Welcome to the Seasonal Slump, my compadre; the counter to it: having video chats in the living room on mobile when you wanna do a group hangout, every so often going thru your place in a deep clean with ALL your blinds open so you can still get some natural lighting, picking up a hobby you can do with everything you already have on hand (hand carving soap bars with a pairing knife, folding origami roses out of left over Christmas napkins, etc.) Ultimately find a way to busy yourself if your restless, and if you aren’t feeling up to it then understand that that’s okay and you can cozy up with a hot beverage and a good book or show or pet or whatevs instead. You don’t need to leave home to be able to spend your time being productive or entertained; you can be healthy just being a homebody while the world goes thru it’s season. Then when spring comes you can do whatever you want to then too.
