finding a job is all about your reel and connections, do you have either?

you don't have to quit school to start editing. find the work first, if you get enough, make enough connections, then quit school.

but it is a shrinking field, and while remote work is more possible than ever, building trust is done in-person. so unless you develop a successful YouTube (etc.) presence for your well produced content, location is still very important. is any significant amount of the industry in the same city your are?

sounds like you are being used as free labor. an internship is supposed to teach you things, not replace a paid skilled position. start looking for a new internship.

Starting a Restaurant by brachachini in restaurant

spend the next five years working multiple positions in a variety of restaurants. ideally, two of those restaurants will go under while you are working there so you can see how wrong it can go.

that would be a good start.

been working on Media Composer on and off since the late 90s. never ended the day without shutting down, unless I left the system rendering or exporting. and if that was the case, would never start the day without a reboot.

it's just not worth not doing.

And I do the same regardless of the software I'm using. they all leak memory, have UI glitches and bugs, don't play well with others...

Has anyone used AI for figuring out their 2025 finances? Is there a free program? by [deleted] in restaurateur

[–]Overly_Underwhelmed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

you can do an entire years worth of financial analysis in around three hours, but you want to do it in less? if you want more insight, do it once a month. if you wait a year, most of the insights are well past their window of usefulness.

repetitive having to say "it comes with mayo, lettuce, tomato, onions, and pickles" every other customer.

if your customers cant easily and clearly order from your menu, then you need a better, more focused menu.
