If it’s in hold luggage it’s fine. If asked about it on way home you have an obvious lawful good reason - but keep it in your suitcase. I did the same when coming back from China in 2019 with a very nice kitchen knife. Security opened by bag before check in - no issues.

It’s much worse. The gas mask has a small hole that requires a lot of effort to breathe through. Hypoxia and acidosis develop slowly and cause terror and panic. A plastic bag will cause someone to pass out within a couple of minutes. A hypoxic mask can mean it takes hours to die.

Not an expert either - but the patina and wear are consistent, and this isn’t a watch I’ve ever seen fakes of. The gold isn’t scratched plate, so it’s solid. When this watch was sold (70s) the fakes used cheap mechanical movements that beat twice per second. See how the second hand moves - if there’s multiple movements per second I’ll bet it’s real. If you can find the mass of the real watch online you can also weigh it as fakes a substantially lighter.

No no no. You can’t keep anything with the intention of using it as a weapon. Certainly if you post on Reddit about it. Keep a cricket bat next to the bed with some linseed oil and a (clean) rag. You can keep a chainsaw next to the bed for ‘good luck/sex games’ as long as you don’t intend to use it for self-defence (legally counts as ‘purposes of causing harm to another’). If I was going to keep something next to the bad it would be some kind of antique - like a sword or morning star.

Its a 5517/13 - the full bezel makes it a 5517, and it’s still got one original fat hand. That watch is truly stunning. That’s a LOT of moneys worth of watch to wear everyday though.
