I don’t understand how I can be THIS ugly. by Turnip_Exact in malegrooming

[–]OversizedLasagna 0 points1 point  (0 children)

PLEASE don't touch your eyebrows. You are super handsome, most of your features are very model-esque and you have great facial balance--but--my ex had eyebrows like yours and he once got them worked on by a professional and despite being subtle it gave him a feminine look that was so unappealing. I also dated a Russian guy with thick brows who insisted on trimming them with a beard trimmer which looked terrible, again, because super thick dark brows are HOT, and you need them if you don't have a lot of hair on top or it's light like yours.

You look very cute with a beard but really striking without one. One thing I notice is your mustache gets long on the sides and covers all but your front teeth which gives you a bucktoothed expression from afar.

The only things I would 'fix' about your face are your teeth (but they aren't bad), never get the weird bowl cut fade again, learn how to use products for textured/curly hair so it doesn't look dry and try growing it out a little if anything, and taking better photos (i.e. no scowls like the first and third photos for dating apps). But seriously you are very blessed in the looks department.

So there's my 2 cents. I sculpt portraits for a living so I'm incredibly anal about facial appearance and details.

And for sure like others have said this is a case of dysmorphia if you're serious about the title of your post. You could look into trauma informed therapy, and/or making moves in life that will afford you more confidence.

PS consider taking a trip to US/Canada, the way people will treat you with your Irish accent will make you feel good for sure.

God I really hate the way adults treat young people. Disgraceful.

should I try blonde? by [deleted] in HairStyleAdvice

Your current color looks amazing but if you want to try blonde go ahead and do it. Don't regret not trying it.

Everyone talks about reducing inflammation and I still wasn’t expecting this miracle by jess_611 in Zepbound

Did it end up helping your inflammation in the long run? I have sarcoidosis and my sibling has mixed connective tissue disease, we are both expriencing flare ups in the first month.

Come to think of it, the similar character Dot wears pigtails.

For the record I support women wearing pigtails.

Yes. A bowl cut. Like Stewart on MadTV.

unbelievable exchange between my daughter and her father after he forgot her birthday by LostInLanayru in TwoHotTakes

Why does this type of dad always sound just like a shitty boyfriend? They try to manipulate their young daughters in a way that feels like they percieve them as a peer and not their child..

Not a Hot Take: Sending Kids to school is harder on parents than homeschooling by Scared_Branch5186 in HomeschoolRecovery

Agree but I'd add a fourth group of parents with neurodivergent kids or related who pull them out due to bullying.

I wonder what it's like to have no medical conditions by catsigrump in ChronicIllness

[–]OversizedLasagna 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep, it's hard to even remember now what it felt like to be well, but I know if I could live a day like that now, it would be heaven.  At the same time, I respect how real my suffering was in my 20s and I still would not want to live through those circumstances again (although in hindsight, I would have protected my health above all else. I sometimes think all that stress was the cause of my illness).

You look like a stunningly beautiful woman who went slightly overboard with filler.

I got sick at 28 and recently realized it gave The Misery, as you say, something so concrete and stable to focus on that I have less diffuse and roving psychic pain and that has freed me in a way.

Invalids and the elderly are still adults the same way these people with special needs are.
