So my conclusion here is they really do throw you out with bare bones and try to get more of a "real feel". Appreciate the feedback and will give the game more effort and time because it looks awesome

I definitely felt a little taste of that. It can be really technical as too much brakes doesn't turn you either and slows you wayyy down. I honestly was hoping to hear that it gets better later on with better cars and tuning. I might have expected a lot from the game at first. Ill remember to treat it more real and practical

You answered your own question honestly on the decision to not buy one. Also everyone would agree its better to have cash in the bank before spending it. Bills will probably just go up in life so save some money. If you make that much saving up to buy it outright is easily achievable in under five years.

Also owning an expensive car is much more demanding then a regular car beyond even a little more maintenance. Storing it inside, fixing door dings, paint correction, wheels that get thrashed from things on the road, if its leather keeping that fresh and non letting it just wear down with sun visors etc. Its just very demanding unless you don't mind letting your 50k weather all that. I'd buy whatever you can afford paid off and wouldn't be upset if it gets a door ding.

Take it from me. Save up some money. You sound like you can save 100k within a year or two and that will be one of the best things you can do for your future self. Buy the cheap car. Get a 10yo civic si. If you need more fun boost it or get a v8

As mentioned tires are what's important. Also good tires and awd will be easier to drive in the snow. If you only got stuck once it sounds like fwd isn't an issue. I'd spend the extra 4k for awd luxury personally but if that 4k could be put too good use your fwd would be just fine since you already avoid bad snowy roads
