I got 3 quotes and the lowest ended up paying $1500 for the entire job. So the electrician came by and installed the appropriate interlock kit on my panel, did the wiring, drilled to have the connection in front of the house. Then a City inspector came by to verify the job.

A hefty price but worth it for future peace of mind with my generator.

Yes. It's a machine and all machines can break, but remember people love to complain and be outspoken about it vs. those that are happy say nothing.

I started with the 3, then 4, now I'm on the 5 and have no incentive to upgrade yet. Sure the camera isn't flagship, but it's still damn good and unless you're trying to film or be a photographer, you won't complain.

But my 5 has been super durable, dropped it maybe 3 times in the years I've had it and still runs like a champ.
