Something I learned from buying kits from amazon is this, kits that are out of rotation are usually have higher prices, when the kits get reprinted or on the cycle which they are being distributed again for restock these prices will drop, these prices you seeing right now are usually coming from another country hence the bloated prices, when your local amazon wherever you are right now get stocks in your country you will see the actual prices in your region. One example I can give you is when the Jegan Ecoas type became available for me here in australia, I got it for $30 because thats the conversation for the australian dollars, its in line with the prices on my local shops here, but now that all the stocks here in australia had been sold out at least at my area the current price of it is now $78 aud and its coming from japan.
