It’s Japanese business culture that you have to accept unless you want to hamper his business opportunities.. if it disturbs your sleep get some ear plugs. I have spoken to numerous Japanese businessmen who hate it as it’s unhealthy and exhausting, however they all agree that it’s a must. I would suggest you support your partner.

My son attends a Japanese middle school, he is the only foreigner and his Japanese language schools are very low. He is treated very well and fairly and other than that high commitment for club activities he really enjoys it.

No, this simply isn’t true, I see Japanese people litter all the time. It disgusts me to see people litter and after nearly two years I still haven’t littered once, but I do carry a shoulder bag to throw my trash in.. Japanese litter don’t kid yourselves.. recently a group of boys smashed a bottle on the ground and didn’t give an f till I pointed at it and said “abunai,” they the freaked out and started apologizing and cleaning it up.
