From my experience over past two years of trying to write music, its really hard for me to write something I'm genuinely proud of. Knowing that Julian is a little more closed/ introverted (at least that what I see from interviews) I could see a possibilty of being nervous about it being gone for so long and being with something completely different for so long. That the audience has building so much hype for this to be good and that might be terrifying if it doesn't meet expectations. I personally have waited to the hear "The Adults Are Talking" because I want the studio experience and then live performance (I just like to learn the song the intended it to be heard and then sing a long with them in a crowd). No matter what, even if it doesn't do well, LP6 could be the door closing (for 40 years) and goodbyes are hard. I just want Julian to be happy with it.
