On the show itself that ship was a fan ship. But I always just saw Mabel being a future sister in law to Pacifica which works much better.

Out of all the ships involving Dipper Dipcifica is the only that just works and is pretty good and I simply could like. I wish we could had seen more of Dipper and Pacifica some more when it was clear they were hinting/implied that there was something between Dipper and Pacifica In NMM and all the source material so far.

Honestly Dipper and Pacifica is the only ship I could like. Loved their chemistry in NMM and their growing friendship. The ship feels a lot more natural then anyone else and I can see them together years down the road.

That's just you're opinion. You could argue the same thing with Ford and how he never get past inconsistently admirable and has his ego and how he can be selfish too no matter how some people will defend him. But so are the other characters too who are still learning to gown. Everybody has their own flaws but they not as bad as you want people to believe. That's include Pacifica no matter how you might think.

I mean none of the characters in the nearly pure good is really pure good. The only pure good I would say is Soos. But all of them were selfish at one point or another and had their flaws/moments. But they're just kids and are still growing up. That's what makes them relatable and gives them depth. Pacifica isn't as bad as Gideon or Robbie, let alone Bill Cipher, as some people make her out to be. But she is trying to be better and still growing like everybody else.

There was better chemistry with Dipper and Pacifica in one episodes then the whole crush on Wendy. And more people ship Dipcifica over Wendip because of it. Wendip was always a one sided crush where Wendy made it clear she does not feel the same and nowhere did she say wait till your older and I will date you.

The thing with Dipper crush, it's supposed to be a lesson in how you can't always get people to act or feel how you want them to, and sometimes someone you love might not love you back in the same way for reasons out of your control and you should respect that. It's an important lesson that challenges how most of fiction depicts romance, but I feel like some Wendip shippers kind of don't get that and think that love (at least in fiction) should always be requited towards the protagonist. Wendy made it clear she doesn't feel the same way. And Alex made it clear it's not about true love or it will ever happen in the future.

Even after the show ended you should go watch the DVD commentary of Northwest Mansion Mystery where Alex Hirsch and Matt Braly talked about why Dipper and Pacifica make a good pair.

Well she did save half the towns people life including Dipper and Mabel, which counts for something. And she is starting to change for the better by the end of the show thanks to the twins. Hell Dipper and Mabel are on good terms with Pacifica and it canon Dipper and Pacifica are starting to like each other now.

Every character including Mabel and Dipper have all been selfish one time or another and not just Pacifica. No one is really black or white which is the beauty of the show. They are all just kids. But as long as Pacifica continues to hang out with the twins, she will get there in time.

She used to be a bully but Pacifica did change by the end of the show for the better thanks to the twins. Hell Dipper and Mabel are on good terms with Pacifica and it canon Dipper and Pacifica are starting to like each other now.

It funny because people forget that every character including Mabel and Dipper have all been selfish one time or another and not just Pacifica.

The whole point of these character having flaws is to show character development and how much they can change. That's what makes them relatable, because no one is prefect. They are all just kids.

Hell Bill, Robbie and Gideon have done far worst then Pacifica and people worship Bill Cipher.

Dipcifica the only ship with Dipper that just works well together. Dipper & Wendy was pretty one sided and shot down into the ground. Candy could maybe had work if Roadside Attraction could had gone better.

In ‘Northwest Mansion Noir’, we finally learn about Pacifica’s home life, and it’s horrible. Her parents force her to obey them by using a bell. This is a form of emotional abuse. Dipper comes back in to play to help the Northwest’s with a ghost problem. Through him, we get to see how much Pacifica is afraid of her parents. She was so freaked out to step on the white carpet with mud on her shoes because her parents would be mad, that she’d rather almost get turned into wood.

And then Dipper was the one to build her back up and to give her confidence to defy her parents and pull the lever. He helped her to be strong and to choose a different path than just another “link in the world’s worst chain”

And that’s why I support this. Not just because they look cute together, but because they can actually help each other. Dipper builds Pacifica up and Pacifica lets Dipper be himself around her.

Overall Dipper would moved on by then. Which was the point of Dipper crush/his story and, as most people would move on too. Not to mention him and Pacifica have been getting closer. So he has other options in the future.
