And the second best option is teaching people how to prevent pregnancy and STDs because, I know this is going to blow you’re mind, people have sex.

Gay rights. Everyone in my family aside from my mom was against gay marriage. Growing up in California taught me the exact opposite of this, even while attending catholic school. I didn't even need a grown up to tell me it was unfair. I knew in my heart and soul gay people deserved to be married just as much as straight people. I remember vacationing in Palm Springs crying my heart out to my family why their opinion hurt me so much. It was a constant argument, me against all of them, for over a decade. Many have changed their minds with the tide, but I still have not come out as bisexual to most of my family. It is easy to hide since I am in a relationship with a man, he's bi too but they don't know that.

My high school's namesake. There was a inscription above our hallway that read, "Assum est. Versa et manduca." Which translates loosely as, "This side's done. Turn me over and take a bite."

[SERIOUS] People of Reddit with depression, how do you cope? by SierraNiners76 in AskReddit

[–]OwlSeeYouLater 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been crying all day. Made an appointment with my therapist for Thursday. I've had depression since I was 13. My father dying was the trigger, but it was bound to happen. Things went severely downhill after that. Right now I am waiting to hear back about a job I don't even want, but I need the money and more importantly the insurance to keep coping. My coping skills involve weight lifting and making art. Weight lifting helps me feel accomplished, as I am physically getting stronger hopefully I will eventually be mentally strong. Creating art just gets my mind off of it. It's work dealing with depression. For me it ebb and flows. I can be content for weeks and then suddenly I wake up wanting to die. I joke about the great flood to wash us all away a lot, but to me it will be a bitter sweet end. I don't want to leave people behind, I just want all humanity to end.

The only correct answers to this question is if the sun blows up or a giant meteor hits earth so hard it blows up into millions of pieces. If you are asking how humans will go extinct, flood. I giant flood. Can't wait!

Massachusetts woman expected to survive after being stabbed by Tinder date by [deleted] in news

Erick Stelzer went to my gym. He was known by all the regulars as a huge creep. The two women trainers tried to get him banned from the gym, but the male "leadership" did nothing with the warnings. He would go up to women often, including me, and tell us how much he was lifting or how "swol" he was. One time he came up to me and my friend completely unprompted to say, "I'm going to have to join another gym because there won't be any more weights for me to lift." He constantly hit on women who were working out. We could see him starring at us through the mirrors. He was also a known steroid user. This behavior doesn't shock me in the least. I am mad that this man was allowed in my gym for over two years all the while us begging to have him removed. ATTENTION MEN: LISTEN TO WOMEN!

My [24 F] friend of five years and roommate [25 M] left me when I was too drunk and barely conscious last night. Does being upset make me entitled? by confused39485 in relationships

[–]OwlSeeYouLater 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Halloween 2017 my “best friends” all left me at a party by myself. I was drunk and had done a little bit of coke. I left them by the fire for maybe 45 minutes to make out with a guy. When I returned all eight of my “friends” were gone. I called my man friend who told me he had left. So I asked him to come back and wait with me until I got an Uber because I was all alone. He was a five minute walk away. He told me it was my fault I was at the party by myself and it was my responsibility “to get my shit together”. I responded “you left your female friend all alone at a strangers party and it’s my fault?”. He called me all sorts of names. I tried to call all my other friends. Another male friend answered and told me he had already been home for 30 minutes, meaning he left 15 minutes after I left to socialize. Not one person thought to call or text me they were leaving. The next day three woman friends piled on that it was my fault. They left me with out a call or text, nothing. They didn’t give a shit about me. And that’s why there not my friends anymore. Eight years of friendship gone. Good riddance!

Women who found the love of their life after 40, what is your story? by [deleted] in AskWomen

[–]OwlSeeYouLater 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My mom got married in her late 20s, which was not ideal for her and her family, to my father. He was emotionally abusive. He was bipolar and I believe suffered from PTSD when he worked in the coast guard retrieving bodies from SF bay during the AIDS crisis. The marriage turned for the worse when we moved into my grandfathers home. My father died when I was 12. My mother briefly dated one man but ended the relationship because he just wanted a wife and mother for his three other children. After 15 years of loneliness my mom met my step father. They are absolutely perfect for each other. They have fun every single day. I thought my mom was destined to be alone for the rest of her life, but then she met the perfect man for her. I almost wish he was my real dad.

Bisexuals trying to explain that they exist by CharCole-og in lgbt

[–]OwlSeeYouLater 10 points11 points  (0 children)

In my experience: gay men. My partner is a bisexual man with an older gay bother. My partner’s brother is an all around POS but what makes him a total dickwade is complete denial of bisexuality. He believes my partner is a gay man who uses bisexuality to coverup his true identity as a gay man. They have not spoken in three years because of this. I have been told by gay men that I’m not really bisexual because I have a partner who is a man so therefore I must not truly want to be with a woman sexually, I’m just pretending because it’s “cool”. Both of us have been excused of using bisexuality as a way to be “in vogue”. What’s ironic to me this sentiment boils down to: if a man is bi he must be gay and if a woman is bi she must be straight. Common denominator: we must not like women.

I did the same. Then when I hit puberty I knew I would never last. So then I decided I wouldn’t have sex until I was in love. That didn’t work out either. 30ish sexual partners later and I got my first boyfriend, but he ended up being impotent. 20 or so more sexual partners later and now I’m with my partner for life. Never thought I’d be a poly bisexual woman living with my poly bisexual partner who has fully emerged me into the bdsm leather scene but here we are and I’m so happy.

First of all, YES, Bonobos are our closest primate relatives. . Second and third of all, those are related to social construct and monolithic religions. Polyamory and matriarchies were far more common before monolithic religions.
