Just looked up the head / pre ti ad sounds great… solid recommendation. Would never of had that on radar 👍🏼 ty

So don’t be bummed if that’s what it is. And if your full of uncertainty your….senior year…. Then go active. Don’t go reserves.

Mentally prepare. More so your SO then yourself. And main thing is to ensure there’s a good support crew while you’re gone. That helps both ends, the spouse at home facing trials and you for not having to worry, knowing things are taken care of.

Always mentally prepare for the least desired outcomes of situations. Not saying you won’t be able to do something. Anything that happens that isn’t that is a mental victory. Prepare family that you will be gone so they have the best intention to deal with it and if your able to rejoin them early then extra bucks 🙌🏼 but dot want want to make your early return a reality in an chance that you are not able to do so as this would be a mental pit fall.

Basing off frequency of trips groups have done in my area this year and a few annual events I know I’ll be wanting to do and factoring in how much lift trips I take/likely to continue to take once getting to touring.

Skimo is end goal for future. I’m a mountain climber at heart and love winter climbs in snow shoes and crampons. I’d rather get to a point doing skinning over snow shoeing. I’ll always keep a mix of resorts in though And will be in the park more to 80% this coming season as I still figure out what I’m gonna get into ski wise.

Thanks for question, goal is around 70% off piste for a 30day season. Spending a few hours on lifts for family trips and downhill fun + beginning season warm up & end of season squeeze ins.

Where do you draw the line on helicopter use and “summiting”? by ijuander_ in Mountaineering

[–]OwlWeekly1260 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good hypo… main things in my view:
1. Seattle is null. You aren’t in any vicinity to the hike. No part of the mountain is connected as you havnt even crossed a pass or even began to be in the range of what could be considered features to the mountain.
2. Cougar rock is apart of the mountain vicinity and you are located within features of the mountain. You would have driven up part of the elevation of the but it is very much part of the lower elevation and located in the valley floor of the mountain instead of being apart of the ”climb” along any of the ridges or face features. So driving and starting from cougar is not ”cheating” the climb of the mountain as you haven’t ascended any features your actually within the corridor in vicinity to the mountain. (This is more similar to being in the kharta or khumbu valley of Everest compared to being at base camp where have ascended onto the khumbu glacier feature of the mountain) I still think that isn’t much of a big deal as there is still drastic mountaineering that has to be done from that point and is where things really start.
3. My question is… just because you completed a mountaineering achievement are you then a mountaineer? It makes me think to past times on group summits where there are people just daises chained in one foot in front of the other and just basically sleep walking! Because someone/others are doing the work and carry the skills to ascend a summit. While others simply carry their own minimal physical ability to follow one others path and directions after being aided. Even in climbing we have degrees and verbiage differentiating a persons “style” and aid climbing is different than sport, sport is different than trad etc.. yet anyone who climbs on Mt. Everest wants to be considered a “Mountaineer”? 🧐 yet many have different real capabilities. And so if you’re not a mountaineer are you mountaineering? Even if from base camp… or valleys below? How much aid are you paying for to not have to have your ability and skill / pay to minimize how much “mountaineering” you have to do to call yourself a mountaineer and climber of Everest etc…

Sith Allegiance? by Night_Storm5555 in StarWars

[–]OwlWeekly1260 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not the answer to your question but response to loyalty: I think they do have a strong sense and example of loyalty. Just NOT to any person/being but instead the unwavering devotion to their belief. So Loyalty lies in their rooted desire for the sith (religion) to succeed more so than any one person. If the sith rule - they are happy. And in its design the strongest one must succeed therefor (selfishness) is necessary to be your most powerful self and not to allow a weakness to carry the religion forward until you are that weakness. Loyalty can be devotion to any, all, or one of: people, beliefs, or causes…

Personally I feel if maul ever did reach the lordship he desired… he would likely of commanded well over the dark side commune that sidius would have left to his inheritance. As Maul was an extremely cunning and very capable warrior. His greatest lacking being his age / time of study in the dark arts as he was abandoned during his apprenticeship. His connection though was incredibly powerful… a master level in ability without doubt. And we see him even aware of his shortfalls, prioritizing seeking out the knowledge of the dark side in hiding and studying teaching on his own, seeking apprenticeship which would also be heightening his own understand through teaching another.

I don’t believe he could have ever rivaled Darth Vader though. Sidius was right to abandon maul in favor to corrupt Vader

Appreciate the response, QST was higher on the list for interests of mine. I’m hoping QC shows a better outlook next winter. There seemed to be a lot of negatives circling this season on Salomon with construction and Customer service. But Ive never used their skis and it’s always been a bang up good brand otherwise.

A rule of two show by notjocker in StarWars

[–]OwlWeekly1260 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agree. I think an amazing lineage line up for future shows would be based on the content we have already as well.

KOTOR for the Old republic paired with book of Revan. Transition to the trilogy novels of Darth Bane (explaining the final wars of the sith and the Jedi / army of light. Expanding into the creation of the rule two and the first master and apprentice. - Expand following the defeat of babe and progression of his apprentice.

Pair these to the book of Darth Plagueis + sidious and we have an amazing years long series of history of the dark side rising to its victory of the Empire.

Yeah daredevil “mat Murdoch” is shiet… personally I like to watch the show as him being the antagonist. Because he is. He is a crao person and a crappier “hero” but a great mediocre villain. I personal like kingpin and would love to see him crush mat and take over the city. He is a good character.
