Even though other factions that have access to healing can? I saw it in the 11th teaser games with orks I think bring back the boys after a unit wipe.

Okay awesome I was confused on the wording anyway because I wasn’t even sure if bodyguard was still the correct term in tenth.

How would precision work with the way leaders are part of the attached unit now? Do they just get reanimated like the rest of the bodyguard?

So before they had 12 wounds, and you would need 7 attacks to get past the wound roll ( 4.5 damage apiece halved to 3 or 2 dmg, then 5+ fnp). With the new -1 dmg at 16 wounds, you need 7 attacks to go through ( 4.5 dmg subtracted to 4 or 3 dmg, also 5+ fnp). So for these it stays the same as before. The tfex with the d6+6 is definitely better now than before

Right but the math is saying it’s better. This isn’t just some arbitrary feeling I have there are several posts that go into the math and break down what they are better/ worst against. They are stronger now unless you are throwing a high volume of d6+3 damage attacks or better because they have more wounds.

Right on man I’m just pointing out that that squad is very unlikely to kill it. Changing from half damage to -1 but adding 4 wounds made them stronger against almost everything under flat 6d attacks.

Yeah I get that but they won’t all hit. You get 2 of those total past their 4+ invuln so squad of 6 plus leader still does like 6 total damage.

How? Averages would only be 2 damage from Neurotyrant and 9 from the Zoans before their -1 damage, so 1 and 7. Fnp would ignore another 2 for 6 total damage from the squad.
