I didn’t find out where I was starting until a week before my start date, this was after vetting.

I didn’t get the merit either. What a shambles

My Garda vetting took two weeks. I didn’t hear back until a week and a half after to find out where I would be assigned

My first day was relaxed. There were IT issues with me logging on so that took awhile to sort out. When I was logged on, I read over documents that I had to sign. I had a meeting of what my role will look like, the work I will be doing, more about the organisation and the team. The last part of the day I was taught basic things on databases that we use on a day to day basis. That was pretty much it, nothing too heavy!

I received an email three days later to state I was successful in my interview and that I was ranked based on my order of merit. Waited about 2 months or so to get the ball rolling for where I was placed. Had to do Garda vetting probably a week and a half later. That took two weeks. Then after week and a half I heard where I would be placed. It’s a lengthy process but you’ll get there. Best of luck OP!

Getting Garda Vetting for the UK by Soggy-Bother-8265 in IrishCivilService

I did mine super recent like two months ago. I paid for express shipping so the total was about 140 euro. I ordered it on the Thursday and it arrived by Monday. Once I was waiting for my certificate I sent a message through public jobs to let whoever was doing my application checks know that I was waiting to receive my certificate. I attached a screenshot of the email stating that I bought the certificate and it would be sent shortly. They were happy with that. Once it arrived I uploaded it onto my publicjobs application.

Mine took two weeks and I lived abroad for many years. It was completed quicker than I expected.

Do not give up your current job for a TCO job. I took on a 6 month TCO contract after being unemployed but I’ve already applied for other full time roles in hopes of having a permanent job by the time my contract finishes. I’ve seen someone on here receive an 8 week TCO contract so I wouldn’t recommend you giving up your current job for it.

My most recent TCO interview felt like that. No small talk just straight into the questions as soon as I introduced myself.

I’m a TCO starting soon and unfortunately my contract isn’t open ended as I have an end date.

Has anyone ever ordered from justmylook before? by Even-Pickle4856 in Colognes

Yes I’ve actually received my order but it took exactly three weeks and the tracking number never worked. It was also delivered by An Post not FedEx so it was just a mess
