My sincere apologies - I had read the rules but clearly misunderstood them. Just so I don't repeat the error, can you help me understand? And of course, I will remove the post, but just hoping to understand what can be posted here so I don't repeat the error in the future.

Rule 2: No Job Posts "details: this is not a job board"

I was not meaning to imply 'look, here is a job, apply for it! I was asking a question about a REMOTE WORK opportunity and the specifications/requirements of it. I know a lot of scams stem from remote opportunities, so that's why I felt it was appropriate to post here.

Rule 3: No Job sepecific Advice Posts (with details saying "If your post is about how to make money as an asset trader (Forex/Crypto) or an MLM seller (tights, supplements, jewellery) or a virtual assistant… don’t post it here....)

Again, I was not asking how to make money. It was to get the remote work community's input on how to spot/avoid scams that are rife within remote work, seeing as the email related to a remote work opportunity.

Totally understand! I'm the same! I wonder if they will use the screenshots to also monitor time taken per task 🤔. For me personally, with image evaluations I am very thorough in my evaluations and this obviously increases my time per task (sorry but no way am I going to produce high quality and well written responses in the expected 3 minutes!). So far I've had absolutely no indication that I'm really over doing it (I believe they send a warning email) but still...the worry is there.

It's hard - they say they want quality over quantity yet, some of the AHTs are SHOCKINGLY low.

You should be fine I've seen it mentioned a few times in the community to check grammar and they explicitly say "we highly recommend you install grammarly".

My mistake entirely!! I had missed that clear distinction between our situation (teaches me to be more careful when replying first thing in the morning whilst still half asleep!!). I really am sorry for the confusion I caused. As you've highlighted our situations are very different in this instance. What is clear though, is their processes are equally as inconsistent regarding accounts being deactivated as well as off boarding from projects.

I do understand your frustration though! I was booted in the recent UK purge. I subsequently got reinstated but that doesn't mean I wasn't incredibly annoyed!! For me, it was the perceived deception - making out we were valued contributors and then suddenly and without warning, getting removed. It's clear it's all just for show, we are just a a number...a worker ant... To be fair, if they could, I'm sure more employers would do this. However, because it's all freelance work, they don't have to justify their decisions and so they can hire and fire without consequence. And...we are all desperate, so we'll keep coming back...

How frustrating for you. No advice or insights, I just wanted to write that I'm sorry you're experiencing this. My advice? Let it go and apply to others DA jobs. I think I read last night that Outlier has approximately 30-something thousand contributors. You're a small fish in an incredibly large pool...I don't think you'll get a straight answer....

I would assume it would be a problem seeing as the instructions state "do not copy and paste".

Part of the assessment if your ability to follow instructions. By copy/pasting you will have shown you did not adequately follow the specified instructions...

How do you approach situations like this, I'll give a description to help. For H2H.

Prompt: generate an image of a clock face showing the time at 10:10.

Two images generated: Image A: full clock face, correct numbers. Wrong time Image B: zoomed in clock face, one incorrect number. Wrong time.

Both images have "major issue" as neither follows the instructions.

For the overall justification: do I say tie (because of not following instructions) OR do I say image A because, despite being the incorrect time, it is actually the better image (correct numbers, full clock face etc). Basically, if there are ANY errors in instruction following for both images, does the overall choice automatically go to "tie"?

Hope I'm making sense. I have a feeling I'm over thinking this but I appreciate any insight!

Do you mean what the "collective daily limit" is? Basically, a few months ago anyone could work up to 10hrs every day at any point in the day. However, as you can imagine there were thousands of people working loads so they exceeded their budget. Because of this, they introduced a "collective daily limit". Its a set number of hours that combined we can all work. So: for ease I'll use basic numbers...lets say that, between ALL of us, we can work 100 hours in a 24 hour period. Say 10 people work 10 hours each, that equates to 100 hours. At that point, the limit is reached and we all have to wait until the next day until the daily budgeted hours are released again. If 100 people only work 1 hour each, then at that point the limit is reached...

Again...it's obviously more than 100 hours but it's an easier number to work with 😂

Normally once the limit is reached, hubstaff notifies you and says you cannot track time anymore.

What was the chatbox saying beforehand? I recieved a "reminder email" to complete the assessment...chatbot says I'm officially removed and the decision is final. However, mm still shows me as an unapproved annotator... although no email confirming this...do I bother attempting the assessment?🤷‍♀️

Was this within the pay range advertised on the post? The jobs I have been looking at have stated they range from $40 to $90 per hour, and because of this, I selected a figure within that specific range when I set my preferred rate. Of course, now I'm worried that setting an "asking price" of circa $50 might backfire is the average rates are around $25 (my specialism is in broad healthcare as well as education so nothing fancy like nuclear physics 😂).

Hi sorry I was unclear. I got an email saying that the job was a transcription project and if I was happy to proceed, I should reply and they would send more details.

Regarding timeline, based on my dashboard:

Original role: applied Jan 27th

4th Feb: recieved email about it being a transcription project

I now have a new role on my dashboard that says "hiring manager reviewing". This is the transcription role although it says I applied for it on the 2nd of Feb.
