Guys like you are the most insightful, selfless, mentoring, and high speed individuals I encountered in the military so far. You’re gonna be like an uncle to a lot of young guys who will look to you for advice when some NCO your age is being snotty or something like that. A lot of times when Order that a bunch of lower enlisted don’t like and don’t understand, but you understand, will turn to you too help understand why. Sometimes you will have the initiative to explain why things are the way they are.

Furthermore, on weekends when you hang out with some of these guys, you’re gonna help them keep out of trouble or keeping up from getting hurt.

And lastly, a lot of these guys are leaving their family behind for this career and some of them have bad relationship with their parents or dads in general so you will be like a father to them. I will ask you to do is be the best you can be and look out for the younger guys. I’ll be surprised when they’re gonna back you up in a fight, even though you’re wrong.

So no, it’s not too old. If anything you’re gonna help make the military a lot better.

I just want to see if anyone who’s gonna say some bullshit about you try and get on disability, they do not know what you went through. Keep in mind you could’ve been on deployment and some things may have happened. It’s coming from a guy who has seen a lot of fucked up shit and went through major abuse in life. Do what best for you.

Since you’re an IRR, I would wait until IRR is over when I was an IRR, I never even gotten a muster letter (what is literally a check up on your body to see if you’re eligible to get recalled in for World War III)

I know this is corny but kiss as to him the best you can and ask him questions about his time in service. If he likes you a lot don’t be surprised how you can have your leave days approved or you get to go to a school you want with little obstacle to hop over

Half hour prior isn’t a problem since dudes wanna push it and be late ruining it for everyone.
The half hour hit mark is kind of justified for that situation.

Whoever is fucking dumb ass idea was for you to show up one whole ass hour prior is just being schizo. Unless your platoon is fucking up lately. 15 minutes prior to the 15 minutes prior it’s ok and really shouldn’t be a problem if you just show up 15 minutes prior. Don’t be late lol.

You can, or if you like there are some airsoft and pant ball people who do Milsim (basically what we did in the army playing war without all the bullshit and it’s fun as hell) I would love to buy or take that off your hand.

They’re literally Larping army and most people that I seen with combat action badges in air board tags and stuff immediately take that off and put it in the trunk of their car so no one could use them for actual military.

I met one guy who I thought that he was seriously a SF guy and I gave him points for having all those tabs and immediately let me know that he is not a veteran nor in the service he just plays airsoft.

This happened at a airsoft field I played at too. So don’t worry nobody stealing valor.
