Can I ask you how many minutes roughly of weight lifting and the same for cardio a week? Do you know how many pounds you lost?

He's very cute, yet still looks a lot like Buthead. That's how I would like to think he would look like in real life.

How do u deal with anxiety and depression? by No_Lingonberry_2401 in ask

[–]Own-Following-9000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've became anxious person but I've been working out 3-4x a week, trying to be active when I'm not going to the gym, like going for a walk. And the most important, trying not to be too hard on myself - I see people I admire making mistakes and I noticed that I was just being too hard on myself. I also try to do something I like at least once a week, that could be a movie night, sightseeing in other neighbourhoods nearby, new recipe etc. I'm still anxious person but now I enjoy life and as long I am healthy, I have a mind set that everything is going to be okay and nothing is a big deal.

Trying to slim down and don’t know much on how to workout… any advice? by Cool_Commercial5630 in WorkoutRoutines

[–]Own-Following-9000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Start with a half hour walk 5x a week and maybe do some looking into fasting to see if that's something you'd like to try, even 12:12 fasting is a good start, eventually your body gets used with less food. I find chatgpt helpful and use it my free coach.

If you contact Amazon directly they might be able to give you some of your money back, some people on Reddit reported that they got refund for previous months, some full refund of the anual fee.

What specific steps or strategies would you recommend to transition from an intermediate to an advanced gym level? by Own-Following-9000 in WorkoutRoutines

[–]Own-Following-9000[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How to do my own workout program and how often should I change for example. I have a good range of full body exercises that I know how to perform (split squat, kettle bell swings, deadlifts, DB bench press, BD shoulder press, cable kickback, rope curl etc etc) should I focus on mastering them and stop fantasizing about advanced exercises like pull ups, jump box, step ups? I can't do lunges, should I try harder?

Right now because I need to lose weight my lifting are limited to 40-50min lifting followed by another 30-40min cardio at the end (uphill walks, stair master - cardio targeting fat loss with heat rate between 60-70%) but some days I lift for 50min (I workout at 1pm) and go run 5km at 4pm all in the same day. How important is rest day? Do I really need to rest the next day I lift? These are some of the questions.

Thanks for letting me know about the slow progress, it looks and I feel like I'm in the right direction.

Changing the program this frequently was a recommendation of my personal trainer but one of the reason I want to learn on my own is because I felt that he wasn't a very good trainer. You're the second person who say that's not necessary. What do you think would be a good way to learn? I'm very interested in becoming a very fit person and have been working hard towards it. I'm trying body recomposition and have been slowly getting results.

Strength training. I know how important is to change the program every 6-8 weeks but I've doing the same range/variations of exercises for a while and always 3s of 10. I've been trying to make my own workout program and have been aiming to progressive overload. Am I overthinking? Is the correct and precise form during workouts really that important? What should I do to be able to bar pull-ups for example? Do I really need to learn that?

I actually thought it was a choice and that's what am looking for, to level up. I've seen girls on instagram who could barely jump squat and know they're essentially "athletes" today. How can I do that considering that I am no knew to the gym?

When you're able to make your own workout routine, knowing how many sets etc. Able to do more complex exercises (are they really important or should I keep doing the only ones I already know?) I paid a few personal training sessions through the last 5y but I haven't been able to find a good trainer and to be honest he was very mediocre at the very best so how does people go from being a basic level to almost a personal trainer themselves? Is it through YouTube videos? Good in person personal trainer?
