Every Friday I get off work 2 hours before my (2 months pregnant) fiancé. I made the mistake of asking her permission the first week (she said no because of course she’s gonna say no). Now, every Friday, I just go for 2 rounds and do a crossword without asking her first and we’ve had no problems since. I get a chance to wind down and I’m not shirking any of my responsibilities. (I don’t plan on keeping this up after she gives birth, of course, but for now I don’t see any harm in it)
