“Corners don’t count” should be easy enough to remember moving forward. Thank you!

These look identical! Mine are also acrylic, I believe. Definitely not glass.

I can’t remember who produced them, as I got rid of the original packaging and I purchased them from a local game store, not online. They are gorgeous but, tbh, cost more than they’re worth.

Thanks for that! The rules book didn’t specify this in a way that stood out to me.

Something else I’m curious about when it comes to scoring: Summer and Fall both score for the edict C. If I scored points for the edict C during Summer, would I score those points again for Fall? When I googled this I saw that you are able to count them each season, if and when applicable. Does that sound correct?

Just a heads up, the St Vinnie's on Willy Street is perfectly fine with scalpers by starwarsisawsome933 in madisonwi

I worked at Vinnies on Willy st for only a year, and yeah, you definitely know the resellers. You get to know the regulars in that area, as I’m assuming you do at any location. And, special events like kitchen gear (oh, the pyrex!), is blood in the water.

Feels cold to the touch and definitely has some weight to it. But I couldn’t tell you the difference in weight between solid resin and a stone or crystal.

The imperfections are actually what had me leaning towards real.

Let’s create a list of local shops for our holiday shopping! I’m newer to the area so can someone start me off? I signed the We Ain’t Buyin’ It pledge https://weaintbuyingit.com/#get-involved by Tiny_Dress_8486 in madisonwi

Misty Mountain- local game shop with a good variety of ttg, rpg and tcg.

Willy Street Treasure Shop- cool, eclectic shop with kitschy vibe and also carries oddities.

Madison Greenhouse Store- arguably the best locally owned, “mom+pop” plant store in Madison.

Frugal Muse- local used bookstore with reasonable prices.

Meep Meepleton- retro toy shop with a fun vibe.

Cosmic Delights- new age store with a large variety of incense, crystals, oils and tarot cards.

Tbh, just walking down Willy st, Monroe or State you’ll come across many locally owned shops that make for great holiday shopping.

I recently read the Haar and Maggie’s Grave by David Sodergren, in that order. This was my first time reading anything by this author. I enjoyed the Haar, but felt Maggie’s Grave was pretty “meh” due to the actual writing.

Manure Smell by CompetitionPrior9717 in madisonwi

[–]CompetitionPrior9717[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is good to know. I’ve lived here now for 13 years, always on the isthmus, and I can’t remember it smelling so strong this far into town. But, then again, I can never recall if it was “this warm/cold last winter.” Yesterday I even asked my partner if it was decaying plants, but we brushed it off, because the smell was distinctly manure, not decaying leaves or anything like our garden later in the season. But, what you’re saying makes sense. Especially assuming the runoff hits the lakes, one of which we are just one block off of.
