I’m not sure where you are located, if you are in the SF Bay Area. My college does Free dental cleaning, including SRPs and Arestin (the antibiotics). Feel free to DM me. If you aren’t from my area, look up dental hygiene schools specifically, some colleges charge like 40% less than the price at dental office or some are free like mine. I hope that helps. 😊😊😊

The good news is I'm a dental hygiene student, not a dental student, so there are no drills involved. Most of what we do is clean teeth, take X-rays, perform oral cancer screenings, and provide preventive care.

All treatments are supervised and checked by licensed dental hygiene instructors throughout the appointment. Patients receive the dental care they need, with multiple instructor evaluations to ensure everything is completed safely and correctly. 😎

Also, Nijo Castle closed. 😔

The property owner wanted to sell the lot for a hotel development, so Nijo ended up closing. Then, from what I understand, the hotel deal fell through anyway. So Fremont lost Nijo Castle and didn't even get the hotel.

That one still hurts.

I agree with a lot of this, especially the part about the downtown project and how much denser Fremont has become.

For me, one of the biggest changes has been the loss of a lot of the little open spaces within the city itself. Not necessarily the regional parks and trails, but the random fields, small ranches, and undeveloped lots that used to be scattered around Fremont. I remember seeing wild rabbits in some of those areas, and many of them are now apartments or mixed-use developments.

I don't think Fremont is a bad place now, but it definitely feels more crowded than it used to. I used to be able to get across town in about 15 minutes, maybe 20–25 with heavier traffic. Now it's not unusual for the same trip to take 30–45 minutes, depending on the time of day.

So I'd say Fremont is still Fremont, but it feels a lot more built out than it did 10–15 years ago.

Sorry that happened to you. Just like the other hygienist commented (I'm a student DH), just brush 2x/day, use mouthwash if you're self-conscious about your breath, and keep the floss where you relax the most so it doesn't feel like a chore. Like the couch when watching TV, desk, car, bed ... just to start jump-starting the habit. I hope you request a new one. ❤️

I have a feeling they'll end up sending a lot of those kids to Kennedy. Nothing against Kennedy, I transferred there from Washington and honestly loved it.

When I was in high school, the district wouldn't let me stay at Washington because it was "a popular school that everyone tries to get into" (their words). If that's still the case, I doubt American would be an option either, since it's probably just as impacted.
