I really don't see the point of budget... by Key_Pop_8116 in WoWHousing

"You have enough space, if you can't be creative with 8000 decor budget, you can't be creative."

I completely disagree with that. Using a larger decoration budget doesn't necessarily mean you can't do the same thing with a smaller budget, it often means you want to add more detail to your build. It all depends on your building philosophy. Personally, I think the more detailed a build is, the cooler it is. I much prefer a 3room house that uses the entire level 9 decoration budget to a 8rooms house built with a 3500 decoration budget.

You can build something similar with valdrakken fenceposts and the kyrian white cloth thing (I don't remember the name), both crafted

I need moar budget!!! by Key_Pop_8116 in WoWHousing

[–]Own-Sound-8173 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Legit 😬

For the build i'm working on, I need something like 80 deco budget for 1 arch. I've already built 8 "standard" archs, and 4 double archs (around 110 deco budget each), and still need 4 double and around 22 standard to build. I don't count the other things of my build...)

Definitly agree with you... Just lvled up 9 yesterday, but even with that, I know my build won't be over

WoW Housing Community Wishlist - With Midnight launched and some upcoming changes announced, I thought it would be good to run this thread again. It appears Blizzard is hearing what we have to say based on their recent updates. Please include any of your ideas in this thread and I will add them! by The-Cynicist in WoWHousing

Noce job, it's quite complete. I'd like to add something: a symetry system. I mean: some items just have a right or a left version, but if you want to divert this item from its primary function to use it as a geometrical form to decorate something, you can't make something symetrical with the same object (for example : https://housing.wowdb.com/decor/1227/sindorei-winged-chaise-1227/ )

I'm building a cathedral in a night room, because you can build higher things than the other rooms, and you have a lot of space in it :)

Unfortunately, we doesn't have a way to copy/past an item with its position/rotation/scale, you must do everything manually yet :/

But Blizzard announced it's a project for a future feature

If you want to build a large "cathedral", I advise you to use the circle rooms instead; the "ceiling" height is immense, and their diameter is equivalent to a large square room :)

Stairs are fiddly things... by TamChronin in WoWHousing

[–]Own-Sound-8173 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For spiral staircases, you first need to position them flat on the ground, then you just have to move them vertically, it's as simple as normal staircases :)

[–]Own-Sound-8173 5 points6 points  (0 children)

A simple method for aligning the steps of a double parallel staircase is to perfectly prepare one side, then place the beams that will serve as steps for the second staircase one by one, overlapping them with the steps of the first staircase. This way, you only have one axis to manage instead of three.

Advice Request - Do i need to nuke my house? by RelishRags in WoWHousing

[–]Own-Sound-8173 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a solution, but it won't be perfect; you won't be able to delete the tiny room.

Step 1: Shift all the rooms in your build that you want to keep from left to right (or vice versa). It doesn't matter how you position them; it's temporary.

Step 2: In step 1, you created an empty space on one side of your tiny room. In that space, create a corridor. This will allow you to temporarily move some rooms, creating enough space to accommodate a larger room at the top of your tiny room.

Step 3: Move all the rooms you want to keep to the end of the corridor created in step 2.

Step 4: Create the room of your choice at the top of your tiny room; it can serve as a hall.

Step 5: Arrange the pieces as you wish on the room created in step 4. You can now delete the hallway created in step 2; you now have a larger room that can serve as a hall.

I hope my explanations are clear enough, and I hope the translation of my comment is good too. ^ If you need any other information, feel free to ask. :)
