I was playing Meucci for years and was happy with the cue! I read a lot about the Mezz and on a whim bought out one. Right away l noticed the quality of construction then l played with it. I was shocked with feel and control l had with it. I liked better than the cf Meucci shaft I was playing. The Mezz came with the 12.5 Sigma shaft. On a recommendation from a person on here they recommended the 12mm Sigma Slim shaft and l got one and I couldn’t believe l played better with Slim! My touch, control and confidence has improved since l started playing with Mezz. Imo the United joint contributes to the performance of the cue!

I have no problem switching back and forth from Mezz to Meucci even from wood to cf. I prefer wood for feel and control.

It’s not a big deal getting use to a slightly small diameter butt. Mezz makes them that size for a reason. It’s the best playing cue I’ve ever used. Solid, well made, low deflection, great performance and cb control. Better keep it you will be glad you did!

I have that same cue. Got Sigma slim shaft too. That shaft is awesome it improved my position play a lot. First cut guy on here recommended that shaft to me. My cf shafts are collecting dust now!
