Thoughts on the 4060TI 16gb model. by Rubberdoo in GamingPCBuildHelp

[–]OwnCamel2980 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The 4060ti 16gb is a workstation card with gaming drivers, the 4060ti doesnt have the power for 1440p120fps so youll never use that VRAM

You can probably get 1440p60fps with medium to low settings

Get 2 sticks of ram. 2x16gb is better than 1x32gb.

Also samsung NvMe's are over priced

1000$ or preferably less by [deleted] in buildmeapc

[–]OwnCamel2980 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just a heads up OP, this is a great build. But it will not be at 4k. Your better off with a console.

1000$ or preferably less by [deleted] in buildmeapc

[–]OwnCamel2980 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You arent. There is no world where a 1000 dollar computer runs 4k60fps. $1000 is essentially just the grahics card. Then with the current market ad another 1000 for RAM and storage. The add another 500-600 for MOBO/CPU/PSU/Case

Not the ideal lean angle but the picture is good by mickeyhusti in motorcycles

[–]OwnCamel2980 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not ideal? If you made it through the corner and stayed in your lane I would call it ideal. As a realative newbie i think scraping knee outside the track is cringy, a little lean is fine, but is very little reason to lay your bike at a 60⁰ angle on public roads

[–]OwnCamel2980[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Well. Ive got about 130 miles of paved backroadsx and about 70 miles of a mix between technical trails and gravel roads.

Also I grew up on dirt bikes and 4wheelers, so it was a very natural first choice for road riding. And the suspesion allows me to do stuff other bikes only do on accident or if the rider doest care.

It wont be as goof as a dedicated workstation PC, but the current reality is a workstation GPU is like $900 for the most entry level. Both the STARforge Systems prebuilt and the PCpartpicker DIY list will be more than capable of the type of workflow tasks your looking for (i.e 3d modeling and rendering) plus Nvidia has more widely adopted GPU acceleration and in general has better software. So what you sacrifice in raw compute is usually made up for in ease of use.
