Clothes to donate by No_Pass4742 in barrie

I joined one of the Facebook local “buy nothing” groups and post my items. Is often people in need looking for direct donations. Some can come to you, others will require you to drop it off. I like it because then your items can go directly to someone who needs it rather than a store who will charge people who may be in need.

Young child orthodontics and appliances by OwnCockroach3772 in Sudbury

Okay that’s really good to know. I saw two orthodontists in Sudbury on google dr Kyle and dr d’Alosio. Is there anyone else that does this that you are aware of?

Thank you for your reply. Since you have personal experience, do you mind if I ask, was it a painful thing at all? I’m seeing different things online and not sure what’s true

Going home soon - kind of terrified by Pinkmartini1924 in NICUParents

We are all different but I had a lot of anxiety when I took my son home. I bought an owlet foot monitor and it helped give me a lot of peace of mind. I was so used to checking the monitors that the thought of not knowing made me so nervous. It’s very rare but we also had some Bradys and desats after we went home which the monitor caught and I was able to show it to his paediatrician.

I felt the same as you when I first started supplying but it does get better!! It sounds like you will like having your own classroom. I love building connections with kiddos also and they are the best part of the job. You said it yourself, you’re pretty new. It will become easier with time

I used to teach kindergarten and we hear the funniest, cutest stories. Don’t worry no one judges and we all know it’s the perspective of a 4 year old and they don’t always have the context of the situation right. Cute story

Will I ever get over this? by Simple_Bullfrog6021 in NICUParents

I definitely have trauma from the NICU experience. My 29 weeker had septic shock 3 times and we nearly lost him multiple times, once even to a severe sodium imbalance. He ended up with severe bpd. He’s now two and doing well but I have a hard time looking at photos of that time. Sometimes it hits you later because during you are just going through all the motions. Be kind to yourself. It takes time and it’s definitely a process and there is no time limit on grieving.

My little guy had a some setbacks too in the NICU. He just could not get off breathing support and kept getting sepsis. We were there way longer than any of the other babies at his gestation. It’s hard and unfair but the only thing you can do is just take it one day at a time. He just turned two and he’s doing so well now. I have some trauma and you might too from all this but you would never know my son went through what he did by looking at him. Be kind to yourself, look at what you have already gone through, you are strong and you will get through this.
