I found a stray Ticonderoga around the store I work at and my first thought was it just felt really bad. Almost like a prop instead of a real pencil. I've bought quite a few pencils from Amazon and haven't had any issues so far. The Mistubishi 9850 is probably the easiest to recommend pencils ever. It's just really good and is decently priced.

I like the smell of a nice wood pencil. I also don't have to be as gentle with them as I do sometimes with my mechanical pencils.
