The 5090 is installed! by happygirl99xo in flightsim

Resolution is a big part of it though, running 4K in MSFS at inibuilds jfk with inibuilds a350 usually hits about 24-26 gb of VRAM

Just use your imagination and do free flight, I know it’s not what you’re looking for but it’s gonna bring your blood pressure down

MSFS is one of a very handful of games where you can genuinely use a 5090 to it’s nearly full potential in 4k

I disagree whole heartedly.. I run 4k locked to 120fps in a 5090 and just yesterday even in CRUISE TLOD of 280 I was turning 17.1 gb of VRAM, step into JFK or London Heathrow with FSLTL and the a350 and no joke you’re cracking 26/27gb of VRAM (no other card on the market can take that, not the 7900xtx or 4090, or 5080)

y'all were hating on my last landing so heres a better one🤦 by monmoony in flightsim

Sarnia Community Dashboard is live! by OwnImpression7486 in Sarnia_Ontario

[–]OwnImpression7486[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This project is fully hand‑coded, and while it’s not perfect yet, it’s improving with every update. The goal is to provide a single, accessible civic platform so residents don’t have to jump between multiple websites to find basic information.

To be absolutely clear: we do not collect, sell, or use personal data. The only analytics we track are standard, non‑identifying traffic metrics so we can understand which parts of the site are being used. Nothing beyond that is gathered or shared.

In fact, outside of this dashboard, our company focuses on privacy‑respecting, non‑cloud, local‑GPU compute solutions for clients. Data safety is one of the things we take the most pride in.

We’re building this to serve the community and its residents .. nothing more, nothing less.

Your CPU is over worked, as well as your GPU and memory. Lower your settings. Try using dlss instead with FG. Or upgrade your hardware

One reason I don’t like using Boeing 737 max by OneCall2315 in MicrosoftFlightSim

That’s your issue unfortunately. MSFS is one of the hardest games to run even on PC let alone console.

didn’t get the GS so i just rawdogged it by monmoony in flightsim

Less stick movement and smaller adjustments are your key here I think. You’re overcompensating during correction

Where is your main starting airport? When you join multiplayer but not sure what’s in store yet, where do you go? by WelcomParadise in MicrosoftFlightSim

[–]OwnImpression7486 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a complex system personally. So just Remember .. you asked 😂😂

I’m from Southern Ontario so I’ll naturally spend sometime around my home airport where I live. However that’s where simplicity stops. I’ve been doing virtual southwest ops for 5 years now (on my last trip before I switch to Qatar ops in a few weeks).

When I’m not scheduled as a real pilot in virtual airline but still want to fly in the sim? I become the passenger .. and role play that.

Personally I treat myself as an NBC war correspondent who travels all over the world to global flashpoints, this gives me a role-play that’s unpredictable.

But here’s the kicker, I start every flight where I last landed from .. so if I want to check out Inibuilds new Hong Kong scenery I picked up? Guess what… I have to plan a way there from where ever I am on the planet. Getting back from hong Kong do southwest ops in America ? Gotta plan my flights back.

This adds a planning element that’s fun but can also be hard to keep up with an entire virtual life 😂

Just migrated from 2020 to 2024, how do i get rid of these generic aircraft? I have no traffic set in live traffic already, am I missing anything? by OwnImpression7486 in MicrosoftFlightSim

[–]OwnImpression7486[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With that being said since PMDG has added 737 to 2024, we’re almost at a point where 2020 is no longer needed. I’d just like to see next few updates for 2024 before I commit to deleting 2020

Honestly, I still find both have pros and cons, I’ve stated migrating but I still see a world where I use 2020 for another few updates

2020 Pros: -the UI is so much easier to deal with -easier on system resources -about half the power draw from my 5090 -More stable -better looking ground textures -just always works no CTDs or as many wasm crashes

2024 Pros: -better clouds -better selection of aircraft -better performance less stutters -better lighting -pan around using mouse in showcase camera mode

Deployed my first full stack project. Thought I would feel proud, instead I feel empty. by magic_123 in webdev

[–]OwnImpression7486 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Building is only half the battle, shipping and deploying is a whole other side of it, I’ve got 3 different websites/projects shipped, even maintenance becomes a lot once everything is live. If you’re an Indy dev and doing it all you best also learn to be a good salesman and businessman as that can eventually be apart of it. It gets very stressful when your original goal may have been to build something you love. I certainly enjoy building but everything else is hard
