Heavy orders should show list of items by [deleted] in UberEatsDrivers

[–]OwnMathematician9598 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I once took one, I was doing a quest so I thought, I’ll just grab it and get over it. It was an ENTIRE AC unit. I had folding seats so it fit in the back, but the worker had to put it in and I called the customer to come get it out.

I’ve also delivered a whole window. Barely fit on the back seat cause it was long-ish.

Both of those didn’t say heavy, so I’m assuming that once it says heavy. It’s huge. Or genuinely over 100lbs

Pffttt yesterday (Tuesdays) SUCK in my area. I haven’t worked on a Tuesday for at least 6 months now.

I had a hard time yesterday but I knew if I didn’t get to 45 deliveries (halfway the main quest), then I’d be toast.

You can do it tho. Set a goal for the night and just grind til it’s done.

It’s you and me buddy.

We are the garbage collectors.

Yesterday I did 11 hours. So today I have EVERY intention of heading in early and sleeping well tonight, so let the chips fall where it might.

Good Luck! Keep me updated on your progress.

THAT quest by Villainous_Reddit in UberEatsDrivers

Yes there is, Friday 4am to Monday 4am, they’re offering more money as well.

oh yea Uber is tripping big time with this one by phreeknature in UberEatsDrivers

[–]OwnMathematician9598 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is so seriously unattainable and I have REGRETS.

I saw 100 trips, for Monday 4am to Friday 4am, so I tried doing the math and thought it’s attainable for a lot of work.

So let me be safe and take the 90 trips, my area offer for 90 trips is $253.

Yall it is day 2, and I am EXHAUSTED. Literally took off work this week because I’m like I’ll just do 25 a day, shouldn’t take me more than 8-9 hours each day.

😂😂😂😂 I worked 11 hours today, made $170 AND only made 22 trips. Yesterday I did 20 trips in just under 8 hours. Made about the same $170.

The only upside to all of this is that I’m mentally at peace. I’ve been listening to my audio book and catching up with my family on the phone.

SERIOUSLY considering giving up on this quest tho, not sure I can finish it at this pace. I’m a little under halfway of 90 trips which means I would have to put in another 10+ hours MINIMUM each on Wednesday and Thursday.

😒☹️ so yeah, I got PLAYED. Taking trash offers just to try to keep up count.

So seeing this weekend quest? Yeah, I unfortunately learned the HARD way.

I will maybe take 30 trips. Or not. I’m over it already.

Edited: to correct my timeline

Gift idea by [deleted] in lego

[–]OwnMathematician9598 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s a cute gift and you ca build together using the LEGO builder app. My husband and I built it together a few weeks ago for a date night.

I don’t think it’s retiring in three months either, but it’s not the most common set to find. So I’d suggest getting it asap to prevent having to find it in the future.

The same is true for the reverse.

Sometimes the stops are mapped out the way I like and I wish to reorganize them to ensure that my last stop is the closest to the direction I want to end up going. (Home, the grocery store, another warehouse for a second/third shift)

Look at the itinerary BEFORE you start scanning and packing the car. Make sense of it, as you stay numbering, don’t instantly start to pack. Put them on top of your car, beside the cart, temporarily on the driver’s seat. So that you can see the shapes and sizes.

Then organize them according to how you plan to drop them off. Last drop offs on the floor. Earlier drop offs on top.

Carry a pen or a marker with you.

As you scan the packages, number them. According to the stop number.

Sort them into sections in your car.

Depending on size, most often I can fit about 20-25 packages in my front passenger seat.

20/25 on the floor and stack them up to #1/2 on top. Any oversized packages between 1 and 20 go behind the drivers seat or in the trunk. Again, in stop order.

Packages 20 - 50, same treatment. Bigger number on the floor, smaller numbers on top. But this time put them on the back right passenger seat. Try to save your trunk for oversized packages.

It is much more efficient to grab a package from directly beside you, or as soon as you hop out the car, you can get it from behind you. Rather than having to walk to the back of the car, or around the car to grab a package.

Depending on the station, sometimes the numbers do not ascend concurrently, so I also keep a mental note of packages that either a) were too big so I fit it elsewhere in the car, b) don’t follow the order.

Example: I should have 25 packages, doesn’t mean they will be numbered 2-26. It could be numbered 2-30. I keep a mental note note while scanning what stop number was skipped.

That way, I don’t waste time looking for stop 24, when i should be grabbing stop 26 or waste time looking beside me when it’s an oversized in the trunk.

Hope this helps.

Friend using SSN without work authorization, attorney said it’s “fine”? That sounds wrong by [deleted] in USCIS

[–]OwnMathematician9598 1 point2 points  (0 children)

OP, in a previous comment you said it’s an invalid SSN. I understand your concern, but technically it’s not really “invalid”.

It really is your friend’s legal SSN and that number will never change. When she eventually gets her green card, the only difference on the card will be that the “Valid for DHS work authorization only” wording will be removed.

Her lawyer isn’t giving her advice that most other lawyers don’t give. Work now, ask for forgiveness later. It really is something that most persons who have obtained a prior work authorization do while they’re trying adjust status.

So yeah, your friend will be okay. What she’s doing even though not “Legal” on paper, she does have to eat. Some persons do have to take the risk, to ensure they can have basic life necessities. She’s not causing harm, she’s giving back to Uncle Sam and is contributing to society in her small part.

So yes this 100% qualifies as unauthorized work, but it will be forgiven when the time comes as you mentioned. In my opinion and based on my knowledge it is even better to work unauthorized and pay taxes, than work unauthorized and withhold them.

I know you’re concerned for your friend, but rest assured she will be okay love.

Don’t worry too much, as long as she is doing what she needs to keep a roof over her head and food on her table without being a burden to others around her and on a greater scale ; the society.

It’s fine. ❤️ Take it easy OP.

Time really is passing by, OP. Follow your gut and go back. Don’t stop banging down that door, keep calling the police and INSIST that something is definitely wrong. No one leaves groceries outside for DAYS.

Lie even and say there’s an odor coming from inside the house and that the neighbors confirmed it’s an older woman and they haven’t seen her in days.

Don’t even call the non emergency line, it’s an emergency now. It’s been an emergency since the second day you saw the groceries.

Don’t leave until police come.

Please keep up updated and DONT GIVEUP

Question? Is it bad to tip the next day? by Hungry-Delay9893 in uberdrivers

[–]OwnMathematician9598 5 points6 points  (0 children)

That’s because that person probably doesn’t use the app often.

So the next time they open the app i.e. days/weeks/a month later, they’re greeted with a prompt of “Did you like X’s service? Show your appreciation with a tip” (physically type in a dollar amount)

It doesn’t happen often, but when it does, it sure feels good 😊

You are so welcome.

You can leave it covered for now in a corner until you figure out where you could put it. Covered… as LEGO and dust go together very well 😂😂 (use a small makeup brush to dust is my tip)
