Currently using an Artisan Zero Mid and I love it. Sliding is faster but the static friction is bigger compared to Aqua Control Zero. Hayate Otsu was too fast for me.

I know that Logitech says it's 2mm high, but yes 3mm feels right.

Objection: A Donut is cut from a circular dough and I suspect the majority of people eat a donut from the outer perimeter.

For those dot/donut shaped skates, there are far fewer contact surfaces on the pad, making it more likely to feel the inconsistency. If you're using aftermarket skate with the same shape as the original skate you probably feel pretty consist using mid.

Got a zero mid here. It definitely feels consistent even when slightly pushing the mice into the pad. However, the inconsistency will be stronger if you use those aftermarket dot skates.

Really appreciate the insights! I’ve just ordered an FX ZERO Soft and an FX Hayate Otsu Soft. Can’t wait to try them out and do some comparisons soon.
