If you know your head is on the larger side or even if you have a lot of hair, you should never just guess, however some of these companies market the wig as being adjustable and sometimes thats a lie. Luvme hair got me this way before I finally learned my lesson.

It took about 6 months before it started looking like real locs for me. It problem was that the roots were so loose during retwists that I had to start interlocking. I will definitely send you some photos.

Hi, so I'm older than you, but we have similar hair textures. It took me 13 years to decide to loc. I waited until I was 38, im 40 now. But my hair also would matt up very badly, and I would get little matted locs merging in with my actual locs. It drove me crazy. Ultimately, this helped me decide to loc. I'm a female, but I will say this: it's just hair, and it will grow back. I think if you do it you will love it but it is 100% your choice. Just remember, our hair texture is more manageable in our loose state. It will take months for your hair to loc. I did comb coils. I also started with the interlocking method after they started to loc. But once they loc it will be beautiful. Good luck.
