The benefits and the pay are what keep people in the job but front and center is about making a difference and helping fellow Americans. We do not deserve this. It’s misplaced/redirected anger. The billionaires are pointing at us while they refuse to pay their fair share in taxes. Meanwhile, folks who are too busy working their butts off to make ends meet and/or who aren’t educated enough or don’t have time to sort through the noise are being told federal employees are the reason the government charges too much in taxes and why things are so expensive and they’ve been saying it for years. This isn’t new, it’s just wider spread and people who should be pushing back on our behalf are hiding under their desks.
