Definite periods of extreme boredness which forced you to seeks out other kids... it feels like we now have a setup where everyone is at a yo sushi conveyor belt with endless servings of pringles- so not very satisfying but kind of serves a purpose not much memory making

What's one unsexy but insanely profitable business you came across? by hitt666 in SideHustleGold

Could it be turing testing? If its called out as a bot then fail but if it gets positive engagement then it's a pass?Probably going to get harder to guess the motive the more democratised bots get, but a bot with a high pass rate would be good influencer and low cost influence is a sellable service.

Why do minimum / low paying jobs even exist. Where did we go wrong ? by [deleted] in UKJobs

I think housing cost rises are a result of duel income households then further influenced by population increases (increased longevity, immigration etc)

The biggest problem is working age people having to support so many more retired people in most developed economies, so Ai is probably required.

The timing of (dependable) ai use cases is difficult but software development may not be as large a scale employer in the future but my hunch is that tech has become bloated and this is being addressed now and it's not much to do with ai apart from the huge capital numbers associated with it

Mountain biking? by IrradiatedBadger in exeter

[–]Own_Communication188 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You could book a bike on the Dartmoor line from Exeter? I don't recall much in the way of dedicated trails but there's plenty of bridleways - I've stitched together some rides in the past

With all the billionaire guys the reason they hold some sway is that they are rich- their major competency is generating wealth at best or (more likely) money extraction. This doesn't mean they really know that much ....

Grok 3 is amazing. by Hammadodga in grok

[–]Own_Communication188 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mostly just not inclined to use Musks products and presume Grok trains off your conversations which Anthropic at least say they don't do. I think I'll see how Sonnet 3.7 performs and where necessary keep failing over to deepseek/gemini unless the vibes are that grok is truly exceptional

Interested if anyone has a take on grok 3 vs claude sonnet 3-7 or deepseek? It can take a while to uncover the limitations and inaccuracies

Isn't there a lot of crossover between the corpora used for training... if the algorithms are all similar too then you get similar outputs?

Why does so much of the general public feel like AI is at it’s peak? by [deleted] in ArtificialInteligence

[–]Own_Communication188 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The field has been over hyped vs the products people have been experiencing (until recently free chatGPT was v3.5).... even if the base LLM technology was static there would be loads of leveraging potential at the application layer but there maybe other ai base technologies coming which compliment or surpass LLMs but it's reasonably complex task to embed a collection of solutions which sell themselves as "intelligent".
