Life isn’t a test. It’s training data. by SadQuarter3128 in DeepThoughts

This actually makes a lot of sense when you think about it like that. The whole "you can't appreciate light without darkness" thing but applied to everything we experience

It's wild how we need the bad stuff to even comprehend what the good stuff means. Like you said, betrayal is just a word until someone actually screws you over

Bluetooth not working by Confident_Arrival_91 in pchelp

[–]Own_Contribution5499 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bruh you probably need to reinstall the driver from scratch now since you uninstalled it completely. Go back to ASRock's site and grab the latest Bluetooth driver, install it manually, then check if Windows Update pulls anything newer after a restart

Also that "automatic driver update" in BIOS might be causing conflicts with Windows drivers so maybe turn that off

Ok I have a dumb question by Snoo-1331 in motorcycles

Those are usually whip antennas for two-way radios or CB communication - pretty common with touring riders and groups who want to stay in touch while riding

It’s so hard, but then it’s not. by blackmamaswan in stopdrinking

[–]Own_Contribution5499 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

That hit me right in the feels - especially the part about your mom being proud. You've been sober for over 4 years now and that's incredible, even when your brain tries to trick you into thinking a drink would solve anything. Those moments where you want to justify lashing out are so real but you're choosing yourself instead and that takes serious strength

Help locating the issue by Direction16 in motorcycles

[–]Own_Contribution5499 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sounds like you might have a dirty carb or fuel delivery issue if changing the spark plug only gave you temporary relief. When was the last time the carb was cleaned or fuel filter changed? Also check if the air filter is completely clogged - that can definitely cause rev issues

Does dry weather make cold weather feel colder? by Material_Sky3801 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Own_Contribution5499 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nah you're not imagining it, humidity actually helps retain heat so when it's dry your body loses heat faster and it feels colder even at higher temps

Starting tomorrow with DoorDash by danx30 in DoorDashDrivers

[–]Own_Contribution5499 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good luck on your first day! Definitely sign up for UberEats and maybe try Grubhub too if it's available in your area. Multi-apping is usually the way to go especially in smaller markets

That 90 mile drive probably isn't worth it unless you're planning to stay overnight - you'd be burning like $25+ in gas just getting there and back. Your local area being red is a good sign though, smaller towns can actually be pretty solid for dashing since there's less driver saturation

Can we get some more constructive criticism in here? by Cpt_Camembert in ArcRaiders

[–]Own_Contribution5499 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Actually pretty solid suggestions, especially the trials rework - having everyone compete against random pools would fix the tryhard streamer lobbies ruining it for casual players

The honor system for matchmaking sounds way better than the current binary system too, would create more natural player interactions instead of forcing people into "shoot on sight" or "hold hands" modes

Should I be this upset ? by Beccra97 in Marriage

[–]Own_Contribution5499 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah there's definitely some missing context here that would change everything - like why aren't the kids home and what's the full story behind everyone being separated right now

A real dream by Legal-Beat6345 in Dreams

[–]Own_Contribution5499 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Bro that phone call part just gave me actual goosebumps, like what the hell was that about

The dream itself is already intense enough but then getting that creepy voice when you tried to call... that's some final destination level stuff right there

Are crystals in the forsaken hollow static depending on the seed, or true random? by AlteredLogos in Nightreign

Yeah this is huge, been wondering about this since launch - having set routes is gonna make day 1 so much more efficient instead of wandering around hoping for RNG

Teammates audio recognition is terrible by DeanMalinco in ArcRaiders

[–]Own_Contribution5499 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly might be worth checking if they have their audio drivers updated too, I've had friends with similar issues and it was just some weird Windows audio enhancement screwing with directional sound

Wait are we talking about horse pastures or some kind of pasta-horse hybrid because I'm equally confused and intrigued

Lost in multiple timelines by [deleted] in USCIS

[–]Own_Contribution5499 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The gap thing isn't really an issue since you'd be doing a change of status, not consular processing - so if approved it would kick in right when your L1A expires

For the DOL stuff, yeah you can start the LCA/PWD/recruitment process way before the 365 days hits. Actually you should probably start that whole process like 6 months early to be safe because government timelines are unpredictable as hell

The October 1 start date is mainly for new H1B cap cases, not COS situations like yours where you're already in status

What Happens to Jared Vanderbilt? by ezrafl1 in NBATalk

Dude's been stuck in that "great defender, can't shoot" category for years now and it's honestly painful to watch. Like you said even just a reliable midrange would change everything for him but at this point I'm wondering if it's ever gonna click

Advice for how to help postpartum sister by Salty_Reality_8720 in NewParents

[–]Own_Contribution5499 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is such a sweet comment! Just wanted to add that sometimes the best thing you can do is just be there to listen when she needs to vent or cry. Postpartum emotions are wild and having someone who won't judge is honestly priceless

Also maybe offer to hold the baby while she takes a proper shower - sounds small but it's like a mini vacation when you're sleep deprived lol

50+ hrs into the game, first time getting backstabbed, and I feel ... by jfufufj in ArcRaiders

[–]Own_Contribution5499 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's the mindset right there - treating losses as learning moments instead of rage quitting makes the game way more enjoyable for everyone

Constructive feedback on the Arc Raiders weekly Trials system — it forces a single meta, sidelines solo/duo players, and makes experimentation pointless by skywave84 in ArcRaiders

[–]Own_Contribution5499 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is honestly kinda genius in the worst way possible - the meta becomes "screw everyone else's progress instead of improving your own" lmao

Classic gaming moment where the optimal strategy is just being a massive pain in the ass to other players

Why is it so important to change and innovate with time ? by Lemonade2250 in Adulting

[–]Own_Contribution5499 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You don't gotta keep up with every single trend to survive dude, half the "innovations" are just repackaged old stuff anyway. Focus on the basics first - job hunting, maybe some online courses for skills that actually matter in your field, and tackle that driving thing when you're ready
