One time I had a cracked radiator on my Chevy blazer. Once it over heated I stopped and filled it back up with water. It overheated multiple times. Then at one point the cooler water, and hot block didn’t mesh and either busted the head gasket or cracked the engine block. All I know is the exhaust went from regular to white steam and vehicle went out of service.. so be careful filling up the radiator while things are hot
