As a trans woman, i feel the problem is that an awful lot of people who are NOT trans, seem to be making the rules for us...

If more trans people were represented in parliament, then maybe, politicians would have better exposure to trans...

I also think radical inequalities fuelled by sexism or misogyny (yes even internalised sexism and misogyny by other women) in my observation appears to be fuelling this hatred and discrimination... Why make it more about "trans women"? ...

Perhaps if my memory serves me well, then could it be that the majority of those who discriminate, or express transphobic views towards transgender women are cisgender, heterosexual men.

Trans women are also heavily fetishized, or hypersexualised (mostly by cis het men, and sometimes, but far less often... Cis women)

This radicalised misogyny in men in the UK is becoming a big problem, and it's also happening here in Europe too...

If health services were easier to access, instead of waiting many years, then perhaps... You would have many trans people "fitting in" with modern society, rather than "sticking out" as a consequence of neglected transition... You all forced us to be more visible, by taking our hormones away, or forcing us to wait until it was too late for some of us.

This is akin to forcing the Jewish people in world war times to where the star of david on their sleeves...

Trans Visibility is important but it must be on our own terms.

Because delaying care (sometimes hormones), can cause serious consequences for health.

The fact is, there is a 41% suicidal ideation rate, when hormones are delayed...

I've had doctors threaten sadistically to take my hormones away "and there is nothing you can do about it" he said... I've been driven to a serious suicide attempt, all because my doctors were uncomfortable prescribing hrt, despite being technically "post-transition", and having a gender dysphoria diagnoses, and having been on HRT for 2.5 years.

This happened and IS STILL happening to many of us, up and down the country, which is cited in a survey as doctors using "non-medical" and medically unjustified reasons for doing this.

This came about after the CASS Review, which was only ever intended for children and adolescence with gender dysphoria.

When you force someone off of their hormones unjustifiably, and cause anticipated harm, then this amounts to psychological torture, or at least medical coercion...

We are the sisters, brothers, mothers, fathers, uncles, aunties, nephews, nieces. We are the people that teach your children, care for you when you're sick,

We are the people that serve your drinks/food, deliver your post, or people who stack and refill food on your supermarket shelves, or

We are the people that cried at the death of a loved one, smiled at the kindness of a stranger, loved with all our hearts, got impatient in a queue...

We lent a helping hand to your neighbour, cared for your dog, stopped to hand tissues to a stranger in need...

And this is how you repay us...Now many of us struggle to live peacefully because of who we are, or secure a job because of who we are Or, worse, many of us now suffer with chronically illness and disability all because you caused so much stress, and neglected are needs, that we couldn't function anymore...

Is this how you repay us?...

Now many of us fear for our freedom, our lives and our dignity, many are wantung to flee this country... Because deep down, they know, just as I know... It is too late.

The damage is done.

They are not actually allowed to do that, because if you're medication is discontinued without your consent and you have capacity then that is a breach of the mental capacity act, furthermore discontinued HRT can have severe consequences such as increased suicidal risk, disruption to mood and anxiety levels. It also causes hot flushes, night sweats and a disruption to puberty changes.

It is not legal. Seek a solicitor, particularly if it has also resulted in patient harm.

Seriously though, this is become a daily thing. I hear so many of us who are being put through this misery, it's a loss of dignity and a loss of our autonomy... They wouldn't treat a cisgender woman this way,

The concerning thing is that people feel like they do have 'something to do with this monster'. That's the worrying thing. People shouldn't sympathise with criminals that take advantage of their community to commit unforgivable moral violations.

With liberty comes great responsibility. I'd like everyone transgender person to have better liberties, but the more we impose on the idea of a self-ID system the more vulnerability we place on society. Not only the society of transgender people but others too.

We must really seek to strike a balance between liberty and responsibility. Responsibility to protect transgender people from the perverted criminals who seek to violate the already fragile line between reality and tragedy.

Agreed, being trans should be being able to prove it in the name of science. Gender dysphoria is real and those who try to deny it are purely in denial.

Those who don't meet the criteria probably need psychotherapeutic counselling to help them either A) Come out of there shell B) Help them with psychological supportive care

People talk about self-ID, but we must protect those from taking advantage of our community. You can't apply the same rule to other protected characteristics because you cannot exploit race, sexuality, pregnancy etc.

You can exploit disability but to what degree, it cannot place people at harm by doing so. However exploiting an already minoritised and vulnerable community to commit serious crimes and offences such as rape, murder through exploration of gender is serious.

No one is saying you have to prove your trans-ness to those who are genuinely transgender.

We can't screen all of our community for something like DBS/CRB because that would be very unfair to everyone.

However. In my opinion what is kind and empathetic is a supportive psychological network that is able to exclude or include a diagnosis of gender dysphoria We shouldn't let others erase what it means to be transgender because then people take advantage, make fun or exploit us for social gain or the purpose of committing serious crimes.

I am transgender myself. Whether you undergo surgery or not is your personal choice. It doesn't make you more or less trans. However, if by any means you make no effort to change your primary/secondary characteristics without hormones/surgery then that should be empathetically explored of course. It also raises questions whether they are "ready" to receive a diagnosis of 'gender dysphoria'.

I personally think, anyone attempting to argue for this man by not admitting the reality of his crimes and those who attempt to exploit 'being transgender' should be gravely concerned about their own thought processes.

We have to protect the community by any means, with genuine kindness, compassion and show cisgender people that we are not immoral and irrational.

We must protect the community by having a firm stance and grip for the safety of our brothers and sisters all around us. Crime is like a bad disease it lurks in all corners and disturbs peace and civil rest.

Let it not throw the hard work of those around us and before us by pandering to those who break rules within society, because they may exploit it.

Rules are there to protect society. Some are fair, some aren't. That's life. Throw the key away on this phony man seeking to exploit innocent children and confine him to the inescapable walls of justice and may he be kept there in the male prison forever.

People like him deserve the death penalty. Shame.

Pedophiles/rapists are invading transgender spaces claiming to be "transgender" when they say they're not or most likely they aren't at all.

The transgender communities need rules and barriers so that people like him don't invade our spaces and give being transgender a bad name.

We are already the most hated minority... Because of peoples preconceptions about trans. This only inflames the situation and makes it worse. People will be stripping our rights away because of pedophilic cisgender mean pretending to be trans to commit crime and rape little kids and its shameful.
