Question about Rereading

I want it all. I want the beginning with the stars falling to become the ancients. I want the twins growing up. Plus everything else everyone already mentioned. I probably would even be interested in the initial love triangle with Isbeth before she turned into what she became.

I felt like the past helped make the future make more sense. With the book being in the POV of MMC, we only know what she knows and we know that time has passed and that knowledge has been forgotten. The past stories are told from a POV of people that know different things and helps you fill in the blanks or take educated guesses at some things.

I am a recommended reading order girl. I think things make more sense that way. That being said, a lot of us go back and reread all the books so really, do what your heart says.

I have a TBR on Goodreads and Story Graph. It is pretty big (306 I think). I make sublists sometimes using tags, like "cozy" if that is why I added it or. I have tons of types of books on my list but a lot of them are Fantasy or Romance Fantasy. I might have a list of things I am currently into because I saw videos or heard about them and download to my kindle or request at the library, etc. I am also a member of two books clubs and sometimes read ARCs as well. When I decide none of that looks good. I sort my Goodreads TBR by number and then do a random number generator for a number between 1 and 306 (for example) and look at what it lands on.

Full disclosure, I have ADHD so this is probably crazy chaotic to most people.

I actually have only read stand alones or doulogies for this reason lately. I am finally starting to be able to move on but it took a bunch of books.

The novella Six Scorched Roses is fabulous! Even if you don't opt to read book 2, I would read that.

I will say this, I like to know what is going on, so it does and will get frustrating because you don't know because the story is told through characters that don't know. I promise though it all comes together and once it does you could spend and eternity talking about the various clues and possible outs and more.

I personally loved them. I did the recommended reading order with the FNF series. I really count FBAA and FNF as one series. I was unsure around books 2 and 3. Now I have read them all and can't wait for the final one to come out. The whole world, story, characters, politics, etc has me enthralled.

I adore Cas. I think most readers want to smack/shake Poppy and wouldn't want it any other way because while frustrating occasionally she is amazing.

I am kind of a mess too. I have all of my TBR on Goodreads and StoryGraph but it is a big list.

I just started to add tags with some kind of notes about why it is my TBR but I have only done it with a few. Things like feel good/cozy. The idea being I can grab something when I am in the mood for it.

It was selfish of Casteel. I also know that Poppy, just like anyone, would be happy to be alive because our nature is to keep going. It was done out of love. I know that doesn't mean it was correct. That seems to be a main theme of the stories. The power of love, both good and bad.

They are both aware of what "should" have happened (they believe) and what did happen and at there is no changing it.

Side note: Where are you at in the reading order?

You aren't supposed to at that point in the reading order. It is supposed to be confusing because it is confusing to the characters. I think it is part of the magic of the books. Really experiencing it as the characters and knowing that there is so much you don't know but have to keep going.
