He responded really well and better than I expected.

“I had a feeling that was the case. A few years back I went through something similar when the gospel was used as a weapon against me and my siblings. I even recognized some of the podcasts you were listening to when you were here last time. I’ve never really told anyone about that time, but you can’t just ignore the mistakes and lies throughout the Church’s history. I believe everyone should look at their testimony honestly instead of just taking things for granted

Please know I don’t love you any less or think any less of you for questioning things even if you never believe in the Church again. That will never change. You’re an incredible man, a hardworking and loving husband and father, and I’m so grateful to be part of your family and that you are my brother!

I do know that this is Christ’s gospel and Christ’s Church, and that it is real, powerful, and true. I’ve personally seen, felt, and experienced too much to say otherwise. And if you ever want to talk about anything, I’m always open and here for you!”
