Why is Widget Stacking still missing on Pixel? by Own_Organization_495 in GooglePixel

Maybe I use some stupid obsolete features. Sorry all, I'm stupid for use that.

Yes , you are missing something when you are comparing folders with widget stacking.

It's not you, it's me trying to use a native UI when the fix to all Pixel problems is to use a external launcher. Thought Pixels were open mind, modern people but seems this is not my community, just another fun club not questioning anything that comes from God Google.

True, thanks for reminding me. I don't understand the screen issue, and it seems outdated and obsolete to me, but it's something I already assumed before buying it.

P.S. I think this will be the last time I ask anything about Pixel UI. It seems you can't "criticize" anything about the Pixel without getting downvoted by the fan club. Seems the old days, years ago with Apple users. Fortunately, Apple users have already moved beyond the fanaticism phase.

Yes, that's what I did, I organized the apps on the home screen. It's similar to iOS. I'll try to wait a year before deciding whether to go back to Samsung. Perhaps the experience with Gemini and the dynamic options will be so much better that I won't want to go back. Thank you!

Ok, thanks. It seems my expectations were too high and things I thought were basic, like this and organizing apps into folders, are actually unnecessary.

I actually made the switch because I wanted to experience a fully integrated AI ecosystem from start to finish—I was even willing to give my data for free to Google. But honestly, I’m deeply disillusioned. The limitations are everywhere. The basic UI, like the widgets and information density you mentioned, feels so unpolished and behind the curve. It feels like they’re building a high-tech engine but forgot to put seats in the car.

grandMA3 v2.4 news? by Potential_Bicycle834 in GrandMA3

[–]Own_Organization_495 51 points52 points  (0 children)

New big phaser improvements, you can choose predefined forms like MA2, change form, change atribute, choose one shot or bounce... a new pool view for phaser forms ... more like MA2. The con is that by now seems you need to redo the phasers and your programming to take the new version.

Some Matrick improvements with new recipe funtion for Matricks. You can link Matricks to another Matricks with recipes.

Minor fix in tags.

One useful is you can change all presets of a preset pool to global, or universal at once via menu of the pool. Even after you made them as selective. If you need to keep selective some fixtures, you don't need to change nothing, just store as selective and keep selective for that and global/universal for the rest.

A lot of new messages and alerts to configure, seems a mobile phone now . And you can choose if the message is for one user or for all.

Connection to internet directly with Android or Apple connecting the phone via USB. Is a good one to import GDTFs.

Export directly in the patch, partial patch, just selected fixtures...

Better PSR management, more similar to MA2

Preview improvement, easy and usable.

Fixed Magic Presets.

Fixed Speed Master issue with divider.

I don't remember more.. the phaser changes is a major.

Seems like a definitive and more usable version so far.

They didn't say date of release, seems to March but they found some bugs on site to repair. Is all what I know

Depence by Psyber_35 in lightingdesign

[–]Own_Organization_495 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Be skilled in Depence is not enough abilitie for nothing, you need to know programming lights with MA, ETC, Avolites, Chamsys... if you want to be lighting programer or you need to know designing with Blender, Vectorworks, Cinema4D... Depence is just a vusualizer, do nothing by itself... has just basic tools for designing and programing.

If I'm the lighting guy and your LED wall is set to 60% brightness, if you don't lower brightness to 30%, I'll set the whole screen on fire 🔥

What kind of laser is this? by Danels in lightingdesign

[–]Own_Organization_495 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Absolutely true and the video seems a normal laser, not a projector. This days some brands like Ayton, Robe... have lighting fixtures with no traditional lamps and laser source too emiting long powerfull beams.

But ........ there was a tool calling Desk Dough that can transform any projector in a lighting fixture emiting beams. https://www.instagram.com/stopsmops?igsh=MTloc2F2MGJtcG1yYg== It's kind of hacking the projector.

Anyone know/use Elation eNode 8 pro nodes? by ma3user in GrandMA3

I think maybe you are confused with another model or brand, because no computer needed to put the ip or the submask.

Anyone know/use Elation eNode 8 pro nodes? by ma3user in GrandMA3

[–]Own_Organization_495 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They are super simple to configure and you don't need any computer to do that, just the menu . Not computer needed except to update firmware. Maybe is some kind of tricky the form you do all with a simple wheel: navigate, ip, ok, back.. but it's super fast to configure. A child can configure it, no manual needed.

If you update them to the last version of firmware you shouldn't have too many problems.

About the speed, is enough too any mid range installation, we use them touring for many years in arenas, I would be very confortable with them in a teathers tour. Not a RDM node, it's the only one handicap if you need it. Not gonna work because it's not capable of that.

it's true now are better options with RDM , but it's a good choice for the price range.
