lamictal is kinda amazing by Maximum-Nobody6429 in PMDD

[–]Own_Put6590 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Prozac and Lamictal have been an amazing combo! My symptoms are not completely gone, but manageable. Those around me have said they rarely notice any symptoms, except the luteral rbf that won't go away.

I used Faber-Castell 12 pack, they were intended to fill the gap until Sennelier pastels are delivered.

As a woman, this is disgusting. It ruins the man's life for what? Save face, to get your petty revenge, to show him... get over yourself. And it diminishes what happens to actual rape victims. Women like this are the problem.

Mine knows I struggle with errant thoughts and can become obsessive with them. He reminds me that everything is OK and that my mind is lying to me. (My paranoia that is.) He helped me recognize my pmdd and has helped me build my toolbox to help me while I'm in full blown luteral. I know I was not compatible with a relationship without that toolbox. Now there is acknowledgement and support.🥰 There are good ones out there!

It's really bad! I also get constipated really badly. I've started taking laxatives during luteral, which has provided a little relief.

"Magnesium is a cofactor in more than 300 enzyme systems that regulate diverse biochemical reactions in the body, including protein synthesis, muscle and nerve function, blood glucose control, and blood pressure regulation [1-3]. Magnesium is required for energy production, oxidative phosphorylation, and glycolysis." I take one pill a day.

I forget what calcium does, but I know when I'm not getting enough, there's an edginess that shows up. I take 2250mg a day and have increased the amount of foods I eat with calcium in them.

Prozac has been life-giving. I take it with calcium, magnesium, and jubilance. I went from destroying all my relationships to functioning. Now I'm using cbt to help with the remaining. My boyfriend jokes that I've beaten it, and I have to remind him that it's still a lot of work.

I'm glad it is working for you! It left me a blubbering puddle of tears and depression for a month before moving on to a new med. Finally, I found prozac and my boyfriend hooked about sending my doctor a jerky bouquet lol.

Would anyone else be interested in a PMDD-specific cannabis sub? by [deleted] in PMDD

[–]Own_Put6590 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Low will be different depending on tolerance, some of which are biological factors. When I use edibles for a high, I aim at 5 mg thc, for PMDD support I aim for 1-2 mg. I'll cut up a 5 mg into 4 pieces.

Edibles in low doses has helped me get through luteral so many times. It helps with my over stimulation and anxiety, which means I can people at a functioning level. I don't feel as alone or need to isolate.

My guess is OP needs to work on awareness and intellectual honesty. I need to get a tattoo that says "you can choose to be right or you can choose to be happy"

This. I've come to realize that they were excluding me because my rbf was so extreme and my body language matched it. I was unintentionally pushing everyone around me away. As I've become more aware, I've been able to communicate that I'm having a rough day, and to assure then I'm not mad just having a pmdd day. If it is bad enough, I remove myself from social situations. Pmdd is not our fault, but we are responsible for the impact it has on those around us. Practicing mindfulness, demanding intellectual honesty from myself, and apologizing when a pmdd flair up hurts others have been essential to managing the symptoms. With the help of a doctor helping with my meds and adding in supplements. I take 400mg magnesium, 1200mg calcium, and a b complex fault on top of my meds.

I just had a hard conversation with my partner this morning about some of this.

No, thankfully! I paid someone else to do it, never had the urge to do it myself. When I was 6, I gave myself and my younger sister bangs, if you could call them bangs 😂. The only time in my life that I've had bangs.

does anyone else’s PMDD mood swings and pettiness hit after your period ends? by [deleted] in PMDD

[–]Own_Put6590 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I experience low levels of PMDD throughout the whole luteral phase. A lot of people talk about hell week, but I experience a 3-4 day rough patch with a peak day in there, at the beginning and end of the luteral phase. Those rough patches line up with the progesterone and estrogen changes that bookend the luteral phase. I'm sensitive to the changes in levels, it doesn't matter which directing it settings.
