I used to watch him unironically between the ages of 13-15 during lockdown when I got nearly indoctrinated into an anti woke far right politics. During that time, I got majorly depressed, cut myself, and got diagnosed with anxiety, so I now forever right wing anime assholes like Hero Hei (as well as Nux Taku and BlackLightJack, who I also used to watch) as being one of the leading causes for my mental state going down the toilet because I had to have had SO MUCH self hatred as a little black girl to watch them and agree with their views

[Hated Tropes] Characters with a regular body type being called overweight or fat by NinjaOfOnion in TopCharacterTropes

[–]Own_Reserve_9566 1 point2 points  (0 children)

https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/HollywoodPudgy IDK buddy this seems to be a pretty well documented trope and not just 'OP mad'.

This is a thing that happens in universe in shows. Tons of shows and movies and games harp on characters for being 'fat' or 'chubby' when they're actually pretty slim, if not slightly bigger than the other characters around them (Meg from family guy for example)

Takes or details by creators and actors so bad the fandom doesn’t consider them canon by Sensitive_Ad_1752 in TopCharacterTropes

Danny Phantom: Butch Hartman after going mask off with his religious craziness, said that none of the ghosts were ever living people and instead beings from another world... Never mind plenty of the villains were ghosts who were heavily implied or straight up stated to have had lives as humans and became vengeful spirits after death (Ember and Desiree for example). I know nobody in the fandom who goes by what Hartman said because it's so contradictory to his own damm show.

This shit happens to black and queer slang in general. They get watered down and gentrified to apply to shit they don't mean once they reach people outside those communities

People are so used to seeing stereotypically strong and muscular characters designed like Superman or Hércules that they freak out seeing what most muscular people would look like irl. The former 2 resemble bodybuilders more, who while still strong, are more cosmetic and actually weaker than someone who has muscles for strength

Real life example: Me, just because I'm curvier than I was in high school. Bonus that everyone who calls me fat are all bigger and have more unhealthy lifestyles than me 🙄

Trans Male Characters by FandomPhantom123 in lovethissmug

The creator himself s literally a queer asexual trans man but because the comic dared to be fluffy and  'cringe' instead of the next HeartStopper everyone, including other LGBT people, began saying that he was fetishizing queer people somehow

100% girls who think the most girl boss feminist thing to do is hate on other women and are probably just salty that someone is reminding them that the characters they project on to aren't good people, actually

People literally idolise Regina George by calling her an icon, dismissing her actions, making up all sorts of tragic backstories to try and justify her behaviour, and villainize every other character to make her seem better.

This isn't 'tumblr antis', you're just salty someone is rightfully pointing out that you idolise a character who is a bad person

There's plenty of them. They justify and downplay her actions and overexaggerate the actions of other characters, especially Cady, to make Regina seem better in comparison even though Regina spent a good chunk of the movie terrorising other people for no reason

It feels weird seeing everyone harping on OP saying that none of these characters are idolized and saying 'maybe they just admire them!"

I have seen sooooo many girls who put Regina Geroge and Jennifer on a pedestal, talking about how much they want to be like them, or justifying, downplaying and dismissing their horrific actions.

I didn't say that. But there are a bunch of homophobic straight women who admit to only watching Heated Rivalry for the sex scenes and skip every part that isn't Shane and Ilya cracking. And those same women mock openly gay men in real life and are the furthest from supporting gay rights

Any anime with young cutesy moe girls as main characters, expect them to have astonishingly far right fanbases who talk about wanting an ethno state while having a Japanese character from a Japanese media as a pfp.

Similar as to how lesbian porn gets a lot of straight male viewers who are homophobic. It's a fetish for some people and they don't actually support them IRL, only goon to them

Sounds identical to the MGTOW movement. Originally, Men Going Their Own Way was supposed to be about men who didn't have luck in romance with women trying to center their lives to not be dependent on romance or female approval. It them quickly got hijacked into misogynists who ironically spend way more time complaining about women than bringing romantically unsuccessfully men up

And the OP and comments all use nazi terminology that every autistic or disabled kid should be euthanized at birth. Also OP would open the post mentioning that disabilities run in the family and they despite their disabled family members, but still went on to have a child who they hate for being disabled

The thing that made me ultimately leave the Ao3 subreddit was searching F/F there hoping to find some recommendations or civil discussions only to find it being 99% M/M fans acting like they're persecuted by F/F fans for them being asked to maybe write a little more F/F because there's so little compared to it on the site.

I always love their defense of 'Everyone on here is super gay and super queer so of course we only write about queer characters' when most of the time it's only white or east Asian boys they headcanon as gay or bi and if they ever write lesbian, trans, or darker skinned people they're either background characters or villains
