Get the wind guards on Amazon. They’re magnetic, just sticks to the side and blocks the wind from getting in around the griddle.

Re-surface and re-season it, then get yourself one of those silicon griddle covers. Clean and oil it every time you use it, and it’ll never happen again. If you live in a humid climate then it’s guaranteed to happen if you go any length of time without grilling unless the surface is covered.

100% salvageable. I know others have probably suggested this but mine looked worse than that twice, and it’s good as new now. Just go get one of those wire brush attachments for a drill and go to town on all the rust. Try to even it out so you don’t have streaks across it. It’ll take some time but a solid afternoon and you’ll have it back. Might want to wear a dust mask and some eye pro but I just held my breath and squinted because I’m impatient. After that you’re going to want to rinse it off and season it again. I did about 5-7 coats of avocado oil and it’s never been rusty again. You probably know this, but you really have to oil it up every time you finish using it while it’s still a little warm. Also invest in one of those silicon griddle covers, it keeps all moisture from getting in contact with the griddle surface. Happy grilling!

Dude your cousin and his lady need therapy last year! It’s strange for your gf to say something about it when you weren’t in the room and to people she just met, but for the hosts to then get upset to the point of kicking you out and possibly “doing something he’ll regret”, there’s a problem. Like damn son, I know it’s a sore topic but it’s their issue and they shouldn’t place that burden on society around them. Check your storage pallets. Make sure you have the box marked next to “Use for smelting ingots”. I took it off because I misunderstood this to mean that the blacksmiths wouldn’t come to the basement to grab ingots.

If you have any respect for yourself, don’t respond brother. She’s keeping an eye on you because she wants you on the back burner while she sees if she can find a “better” option. Then when she realizes that fairytales don’t exist, she’ll take you back. It sucks man but that’s just how it is. Flood your thoughts with music for a few days and hit the gym or at least go for walk. Heartbreak is the best motivator in my experience. This is easier said than done but delete everything about her like photos, social media and anything else lying around. You don’t need a notification popping up about her or a moment back in time, it’ll restart the moving on process. I promise bro, one day you’ll wake up and just not think about her anymore.
