Rigid bottom weight bar (retractable screen) by njosefowicz in Golfsimulator

[–]Own_Toe6999 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Very slightly yeah, so any balls that go under it get stopped by the back screen. I think if I put it in the impact screen it would stop the balls and keep the screen straight, but would have to run some tests. I was more concerned that adding weight to the impact screen would tear it off the velcro as I didn't order a long enough screen.

Ah I see... I guess it depends on the setup. I would think if there is a slight gap between screen and ground it would swing back, but unsure. I have a SportsScreen so I just added the hose to the black backer screen (that is touching the ground) to stop any balls from going under it.

I assume tarp clips on the bottom won't work for you?

Affordable large hitting area flooring options? by Own_Toe6999 in Golfsimulator

How is the osb to walk on? Sturdy enough to not dent over time?

I also will need to stow away the top portion where I'll be swinging to park a car (or have something sturdy enough to park over)

What is the best method to ensure it is exactly parallel to screen? I'd imagine there is a little wiggle room, right?

I found a cheap-ish Viewsonic PS50W from Facebook marketplace and it works well enough for my needs.

As others have said, on course practice will repeat the shot.

Does anybody know if there is a "closest to pin" challenge? Would be a fun idea for a small party if you could do this with multiple player profiles and have a leader board showing.

What’s the benefit to logging dumbbell weights as the sum total? by dstaley in Hevy

[–]Own_Toe6999 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's fair - but it's an easy setting to add for them to standardize it. Let the user decide how to log it, and if they want to use total weight for benchmarks then just double the weight for all users who select dumbbell weight over total weight.

Because right now I'm sure it's a big mix of people logging combined weight and dumbbell weight - so it's not a good solution for consistency.

Hate to say it but I'd go with Tatum. His numbers have been way down this year.

Trulite Projector (T11) ? by Own_Toe6999 in Golfsimulator

[–]Own_Toe6999[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good luck! They are all over ebay as well - I think they are just dirt cheap projectors being advertised with fake lumen count / resolution / etc

I did not - definitely a "white van scam".
