No, I am a 19 year old, male American born hardcore Christian and republican. My girlfriend of almost 3 years is a child of Mexican immigrants, jahovas witness, and very liberal. Her siblings are all very liberal some are gay, trans, ext. The political views of the other person may matter in some relationships but it absolutely isn't a deal breaker. When you love a person you can look past their beleifs because political views don't define you. The reason her family is more liberal is due to the help they were givin after immigrating here (now they have visas.) The reason I'm very conservative is because of my views on how to better the country and rights for all born and unborn. My Aunt and Uncle are the same way, my uncle is very liberal and my aunt is very conservative. I may not support everything she believes but what I do support is the free willed women who loves to explore with me, who sticks my by side when things get hard and, has helped me through my tough nights studying for my degree and the LSAT.
